I have been training here since November 21 when I started on my jiujitsu path. It was a small school then as it was only a month after it opened. I may be biased since I have never been a member of another school but I love it here so much that I can’t see myself ever leaving. Nick the professor here is amazing and really cares about us, his students. The jiujitsu family is strong here. So come train, get healthy, strong and fit and add some amazing ppl into your life.

This place is so great. We have only done the kids classes but the coaches are super hands on and keep it fun. Nick is fast to respond to any questions. Pricing is fair and they offer classes most days.

This place is amazing!! So many friendly people and I learn something new every time I come in. I started with zero experience but after the free trial I was hooked. Professor Nick brings excellent accessible instruction and takes time to answer any questions. The kids program is great (shoutouts to Coach Jira and Coach John) and the Saturday women's class is awesome. Can't recommend Prism highly enough!!

My seven year-old son has been training here for about two years now and loves it. I decided to give it a try about a year ago and haven’t turned back. Nick and Jirayuth are amazing instructors. The gym is large and clean and the culture is incredibly welcoming. We couldn’t ask for a better place to train and be a part of such a BJJ community.

Started coming here for their open mats on Friday nights. I was already training at another gym/school in San Marcos (3+ years) but what made me move to Prism was the culture and the level of competition. Nick is an exceptional instructor. His system of teaching jiujitsu has helped my game immensely. Been here since the end of November (2023) and I like what the school brings to the city of Escondido. It’s admiring to see how much this place is growing for the short time it’s been here.

We absolutely love prisim jiujitsu and the coaches and families here. Our son is 5.5 and has been doing jiujitsu for almost 6 months, it has been amazing to watch him grow in both his understanding and skills, as well as his executive function to pay attention and follow direction as well as navigate difficult social and emotional skills and learn about good sportsmanship. While we still have a long ways to go it’s amazing to look back on his growth and I look forward to watching him grow with the sport. Coach nick the owner/ operator is extremely hands on, friendly and is always greeting new comers and introducing them as well as leading the charge in supporting the kids in their development. I love that he is both patient and firm, he will enforce the rules and focus the group in a age appropriate and mindful manner. Coach Jira is a reliable, calm pillar to the studio and is an easy favorite to the kids. He is approachable, kind and patient, the type of person you want around your kids. Coach Joaquin is patient, polite, fun, silly and the kids love to be around him. As a mom I love that the coaches are fun, kind, patient, understanding, firm and tender when they need to be. Being in a chokehold or arm bar for the first time can be a very intense experience and I know that with every new experience and challenge that my child faces, he and I feel confident and safe in trusting in these coaches and their experience. Thank you to the whole Prisim Team, we’re so happy to be apart of it. (For transparency, there are other new coaches that are being brought on and I hope they will be as wonderful as the coaches we have so far. I believe the studio will continue to surpass expectation with their quality choices/hires).

If you’re looking for a clean and spacious BJJ gym come check out Prism! This place is awesome. We’ve been coming here for about a year now and they recently moved to a new location with a ton of space. If you’re looking for a new community to join then Prism is an even better option. The owner, Nick, does an exceptional job of creating a sense of community within this space, regardless of if you have previous Jiu Jitsu experience. I can’t recommend this gym enough, it’s perfect for adults, kids, pros and beginners.

Awesome gym. Nick is a great instructor and all of the higher belts are extremely helpful in genuinely want you to improve. Since day one it has been nothing but a great experience highly recommend if you’re interested in getting started or looking for a new gym to training.

This academy is incredible!!! Coach Nick, Coach Jira and Coach Joaquin are amazing. You can tell they’re not just in it for the money, there’s a lot of heart there. The kids love them. It feels like family. My daughter (Bea) is really having fun and learning so much in the short span of time she’s been there. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

What an amazing place to take your kids for Ju Jitsu! Our son is almost 5 years old and he loves it. The main guy Nick and all the instructors CARE about the kids and are engaged with them throughout each session. Prices also seem very reasonable compared to some of the other places I got quotes from. It's not surprising that this place has so many 5 star reviews!

This place has been a great experience. My 6 year old daughter has been attending for about a month and I couldn’t complain if I wanted to. The atmosphere is awesome. The coaches are professional and excellent with kids. If you’re on the fence about placing your kid into a gym, I highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Prism Jim Jitsu is a wonderful! We took my son to his first class and Nick, the owner/head coach, was so kind and understanding with his words and teachings. You can see that Nick is very knowledgeable and passionate about Jiu Jitsu. My son was being hard on himself during class, and Nick noticed and took the time to give him some encouragement throughout the class and I was so thankful that he added some motivating words at the end. Nick is a great instructor, and has a sharp mind when it comes to jiu jitsu/grappling and even more rare that he notices the needs of his students. A great plus is that the location is so clean too! I would highly recommend anyone no matter the skill level or age to learn under Nick, especially if you're in the Escondido/San Diego area!

Nick is an incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher who does his best to make sure everyone feels welcome and included! Prism is a supportive learning environment for people from all walks of life with a variety of training goals ranging from competition to self defense. Nick really cares about his students and takes the time to answer questions. Since signing up in June, I feel my skills have continued to grow and it’s exciting to see more women sign up. Great place to train Bjj. Easy access from the freeway. The academy is very clean and the students are very friendly. The instructor Nick, is a very solid black belt, ex mma fighter, nick understand all the aspect of fighting. Beside Bjj, you are learning also some take down techniques, witch in the street fight is very valuable.

i have been training here since last year, And this place has been nothing but a great experience. 5 Stars. Great Environment, Knowledgeable friendly instructors, mats are clean and new. its right off the 15 freeway which makes it convenient and has plenty of parking . Plenty of classes to train to fit your schedule and offers a great combination of Gi and no Gi classes. It's a great place to learn discipline and respect while being fun! Kid Friendly , plenty of classes for your little one to learn , while making new friends! highly recommend!

Premiere jiujitsu school in Escondido/ North County area! I dropped into Prism jiujitsu last week for a free class by Professor Nick and it was an awesome experience. Very technical instruction which makes it easy to understand for people new to the sport or people who have been training years. Nice training partners/tough rolls and very clean school.

Nick runs a very organized gym. His instructions are very clear. He is really amazing with young students that are just starting their training program. The gym is kept extremely clean and is very spacious during classes. He has a patient temperament with students of all levels. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His location is easy to access right off the 15 freeway in Escondido.

I just started Jiu Jitsu and I couldn’t be happier to have joined Prism with Nick as the head coach. The place always looks and smells clean. The teaching is very thorough and very hands on. If you’re interested in learning, don’t look any further. Come by have some fun, learn self defense, and have a great workout with the team! It’s also great for kids!
