  I found this gym looking for a program that would teach Muay Thai to my 16 year old daughter: I GOT SO MUCH MORE! I can't say enough good things about Dan and Laurie. They truly care about each and every one of their members. They gave and continue to give my daughter personal attention to help her be successful. She had a car accident after four months there and Laurie has been so understanding and helpful through my daughters rehab process. She has found ways and encouraged her to be involved and continue to learn although she is unable to do most of the activities now until her back is stronger. The training they provide is thorough and very high quality. This is a very special gym and you can feel Dan and Laurie's warmth and caring as soon as you walk in. If you looking for a positive environment for yourself or family to learn martial arts in, this is the place to go.

  Great BJJ gym. Great instructors. Professor Erik has a huge passion for BJJ and teaches in such a technical and practical way that even I learn. And I'm old, slow, not athletic and not flexible. Ocon is lucky to have such a great BJJ Academy.

  My family and I love this gym! Dan and Lori are so kind and knowledgeable. I love that my husband, our kids and I can all take a class at the same time. No need for a babysitter! We were hooked after the first trial class and signed up for six months the very next day. The instructors and students are so welcoming and encouraging. We truly look forward to our classes every week! Thank you!

  Honestly I wish I could give this gym a 10 out of 5 start rating..and that’s an understatement. I’m extremely grateful I found this gym when I did and that I ultimately chose to train at this gym. So many positive memories and vibes. I can honestly say that I don’t have any negative experiences in the past two years ish I’ve been training here. The environment that Dan and Lori(and instructors) created is truly amazing. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and have positive attitudes. It has a better environment than most schools, workplaces and even households. The way they run class and teach is also great. Over all I love this gym and my rolling partners. Thanks to my open guard family🙏🏽

  Incredible gym! I am a beginner and I feel extremely welcome here. Everybody is helpful, kind and understanding. The first time I rolled I immediately become hooked and knew I wanted to be part of the community and learn everything I can about jiu jitsu. It’s a great workout, a challenging puzzle and a confidence boost. I am very grateful to have this gym in my home city! Don’t waste another day and join Open Guard!
