There are many jiu-jitsu academies in the area, but Oceanside Jiu Jitsu stands out as the best choice, especially for children. Their children's program is the best I have ever seen, offering not only top-notch self-defense training but also a significant boost to kids' confidence. Professor Nat is exceptional, having spent years in Brazil mastering the art at its source. Coach Kirstin and the rest of the team are equally fantastic. Having moved away from SoCal, I have yet to find another academy that comes close to matching the quality of Oceanside Jiu Jitsu. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I have 11 year old daughter thats been attending this facility for the last four years, originally started do to bullying at her school. Now she is full of confidence and is willing confront any situation that faces her.She has come so far i thank Oceanside jujitsu and all its staff for everything they do for their students. Definitely will recommend Oceanside jujitsu

This academy is top notch. From the moment I tried my first class I was hooked. Professor Nat and the coaches offer a Plethora of jiu jitsu knowledge. I was extremely nervous on my first day, because of my experience at another gym getting smashed by the upper belt levels, this is not the case here. It’s a very friendly and excepting environment for beginners to advanced students. The academy its self is very clean and well maintained. Awesome job guys! And thanks for the good vibes!

Dropped in at Oside JJ when I was visiting SD. The professor's were extremely nice and accepting of someone dropping in. The facility was super clean and they let me borrow a GI. #1 - great gym to drop in at and #2 - if I lived in Oceanside I would definitely be a member of this gym! P.S. their white belt fundamentals test and the moves you have to learn are really clearly defined and helped me improve some of my own technique. This place is top notch. Oss! 🤙

Great place to learn the real Brazilian Jiujitusu. The people who train there are very friendly. Professor Nat and professor Brandon always take their time to come and correct the students, to best learn the right techniques. Its hard to keep writing all the good stuff of this academy, so I would just go there and try a couple of classes. .

Prof Nat is the best in the business! Not only does he have the premiere kids Jiu Jitsu program in North County, the adult program is just as great. Prof Nats teaching style comes with great experience and one on one training provides a great environment for learning. He's created a family atmosphere and wouldn't go anywhere else.

My daughter and I are both students of Oceanside Jiu Jitsu. Under the effective instruction of Professor Nat & Coaches, my daughter has consistently progressed in her understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu has benefited her in other aspects - patience, respect, physical health and team work; just to name a few! Professor Nat is very knowledgeable! His expertise and experience are evident through his instruction! The team is awesome. Good training partners and good people all around. There are no egos; just good solid technique, people wanting to learn and train! I love that there are afternoon and evening classes. We recommend Oceanside Jiu Jitsu to anyone looking to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! P.S. 5 Stars for cleanliness too!!

My daughter and I have been going for about a year. Great atmosphere, the higher belts will help you and guide you of what mistake you did and how to fix it. Professor Nat and Brandon take the time and participate in techniques to make sure it's done correctly. I highly recommend this school. I really enjoy myself being there.

My kids were scared coming in but by the end of the first class they were excited to come back. Professor Nathaniel is funny and all the kids seem to enjoy being here. The staff are all very knowledgeable in the art and are great with the kids as well. Plus my girls come out with more self confidence and I feel better knowing they are walking away with important skills. I have nothing but great things to say about this gym.

Oceanside Jiu Jitsu is a great gym. There is a great team attitude here at the gym where everyone is looking to help each other. I have trained at some other gyms where the new guys get smashed. This is not the case here, it is more of a family here. Nat is an excellent black belt instructor who has a great way to break down all of the little details of techniques. Technique is stressed over muscle/power. Coach Jesse is also a great coach who also has a knack for breaking down techniques. All this instruction is supplemented by frequent seminars from some of the best in the game including Xande Ribeiro and Rafeal Lovato Jr. I have learned many valuable techniques from the seminars I have attended at Oceanside Jiu Jitsu. If you are thinking of training Jiu Jitsu I would definitely recommend you come here.

This is easily the best jiu jitsu academy in Oceanside, in San Diego, in the world! You haven't lived until you've tried a class here! Self defense, competition: you name it; there's a class for it! Professor Nathanael Soli is a wellspring of knowledge, and he will equip you, or your "Lil' Samurais," with impeccable jiu jitsu ability! If you've ever trained elsewhere, you'll be amazed by the difference in instructor involvement in helping each individual student be the best that he or she can be! Try a class today!

I've trained at pretty much every Jiu Jitsu academy in Oceanside. This is by far the best. You can always expect to learn world class technique. Training partners are amazing, and don't see practice as an in house competition, and rather a chance for both individuals to learn. Good attitudes all around and a LARGE area to train. No bumping into each other pretty much guaranteed (Unless an extremely large class). Hope to see some new faces on the Oceanside JJ mats!

Since I've started training down at Oceanside Jiu Jitsu I've picked up a ton of new details on stuff I already knew and have learned even more that I didn't already know. Nat and Brendan are super technical and it shows through their instruction, they take the time to make sure everyone gets the technique down to the last detail. The mats are always clean and the people are great, there isn't any wannabe cage fighters here trying to take your head off. Everyone is super cool and there to learn and help each other learn. I would definitely recommend Oceanside Jiu Jitsu to anyone interested in learning smart, technical Jiu Jitsu.

I recently visited Oceanside Jiu Jitsu from another one of the Ribeiro Affiliation schools and everyone was very welcoming. The instruction was excellent with every technique explained in detail. The students all had excellent attitudes and were friendly. I'm in Oceanside for work often and definetly will stop back in to get some good cross-training in with these guys.
