Posted 1 year agoThere are many jiu-jitsu academies in the area, but Oceanside Jiu Jitsu stands out as the best choice, especially for children. Their children's program is the best I have ever seen, offering not only top-notch self-defense training but also a significant boost to kids' confidence. Professor Nat is exceptional, having spent years in Brazil mastering the art at its source. Coach Kirstin and the rest of the team are equally fantastic. Having moved away from SoCal, I have yet to find another academy that comes close to matching the quality of Oceanside Jiu Jitsu. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Under the effective instruction of Professor Nat & Coaches, my daughter has consistently progressed in her understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu has benefited her in other aspects - patience, respect, physical health and team work; just to name a few! Professor Nat is very knowledgeable! His expertise and experience are evident through his instruction! The team is awesome. Good training partners and good people all around. There are no egos; just good solid technique, people wanting to learn and train! I love that there are afternoon and evening classes. We recommend Oceanside Jiu Jitsu to anyone looking to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! P.S. 5 Stars for cleanliness too!!
Posted 8 years agoProf Nat is the best in the business! Not only does he have the premiere kids Jiu Jitsu program in North County, the adult program is just as great. Prof Nats teaching style comes with great experience and one on one training provides a great environment for learning. He's created a family atmosphere and wouldn't go anywhere else.
Posted 8 years agoMy kids were scared coming in but by the end of the first class they were excited to come back. Professor Nathaniel is funny and all the kids seem to enjoy being here. The staff are all very knowledgeable in the art and are great with the kids as well. Plus my girls come out with more self confidence and I feel better knowing they are walking away with important skills. I have nothing but great things to say about this gym.
