Very easy going and friendly with great teacher and great communication
The atmosphere is welcoming, and it's clear that every child is genuinely cared for and encouraged to do their best. Watching my son become more confident and excited to attend each class has been amazing.

Coach Brenton is awesome. My son only just started here but has trained at a few different gyms. Coach has a great way with the kids and classes are run very respectfully. Would highly recommend
To be completely honest I was excited to give it a shot but very nervous to try something new. Brenton was very reassuring from the start and the team are very inclusive. Super welcoming atmosphere and great vibes all around. Highly recommend Northside Jiu Jitsu to anyone thinking about giving it a go
After enquiring with about 15 other centres, Brenton was by far the easiest and friendliest coach I spoke to, leading me to want to do a trial lesson. I had my trial lesson last night and could not have been happier with the staff and other participants. As a, very unfit and confused, first timer it was amazing to be able to join in on a class and have the coach and other participants be happy to go easy with me and take time out of their lessons to teach me some of the basics. 10/10 would recommend Northside jiu jitsu and Brenton to anyone looking to either start training or move gyms. I can’t wait to go back next week!
Very welcoming from day one - the main instructor is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching jiu-jitsu. It is important to note, that despite the quantity of children attending (Saturday) the instructor managed to attend to all individual needs of the class and ensure each child was equally attended to, this is hard to find. Highly recommended.
I have two kids, ages 9 and 5, and they absolutely love training with Brenton and his team at the gym. The exercises are thoughtfully designed, and the staff provides constant supervision to ensure proper practice. If you're considering Jiu Jitsu classes for yourself or your kids, I highly recommend this gym. Big thanks to Brenton and the team!
The classes are run well, but was not a fit for our child do we decided to cancel which is fine, but it's been incredibly difficult trying to cancel payments. We cancelled our membership months ago. This was fine at first, however I've noticed months later the deductions have recommenced again, despite contacting the owner several times to stop the deductions in line with our membership cancellation just to be told it will be sorted. It has not been sorted. Customers shouldn't need to chase and chase to try and have their memberships cancelled and have unlawful deductions refunded.
