It is the third year that my son has been Garcia's student in the BJJ course, he is now 8 years old. It's a serious environment, few frills, the teacher puts his heart and soul into it, keeps everyone in line and demands commitment, the results can be seen both on a sporting level but above all on a human level. My son has acquired confidence and self-esteem in relationships with his peers without being aggressive, he has learned the importance of respect and fulfilling his duty. It's the right place if you know what you're looking for, we found it and we're satisfied!
Posted 3 months agoI have an almost 7 year old daughter enrolled in MMA Athletics BOXE. at the BJJ course it is truly a pleasure to see her happy, with the desire to always learn new fighting techniques, in a familiar environment. Maestro Garcia's skills and experience are a guarantee, the coherence and pragmatism with which he teaches are nowadays an added value. I was particularly struck by how attention was paid to the theme of overcoming difficulties during exercises and fights, with very positive repercussions on the children from an athletic and personal point of view. finally, I found a negative and rather confusing review from a few days ago. I was sad to read certain things because they were not at all relevant to reality.
Posted 3 months agoThis is the second year I've taken my 7 year old son to Garcia. Both he, but also his daughter and teacher Jacopo are attentive to the details of the children's behavior. Their severe, no-nonsense style is balanced by great humanity and seriousness. Even those who are more shy, like my son, feel involved, encouraged, not to compete, but to do the exercises they are taught well. There is a family atmosphere at Garcia's, we are confronted with good basic values that only do good for the children who in fact stay even after training to play all together. Come on ✌🏻
Posted 3 months agoPlace not suitable for children, that is, the true philosophy of Brazilian jiu-jítsu is different. It's not arguing. It's not competing or even making any kind of enemies. The true philosophy is As the beginner advances not only technically, but also up the hierarchical ladder, he must increasingly dominate himself, in the same way he can dominate his opponents, concentrating more and more on developing his inner harmony and its interaction and integration with the other Universe. The goal is not to prepare for a race, the main goal is to compete with yourself. Also because medals mainly at a regional level don't count for anything.
Posted 3 months agoBeyond the technical level of the teachings (which is very high, as demonstrated by the excellent results that the athletes of this gym obtain both in BJJ competitions and in MMA fights), what I like most about this gym is the feeling of home that it has been able to give me. I come to train every day, excluding Sunday, and those two hours are always the best two hours of the day for me. I am grateful to have started this journey, which kept me motivated and on my feet during a particularly difficult moment in my life.
