Sam Marcellini's dedication to martial arts is evident. His array of black belts, detailed instruction, and decades of training with the very best in the world reflects his commitment to provide the very best for his students. Despite his impressive background, Sam is humble, friendly, and respectful, qualities that endear him to everyone. His students, from kids to adults, love and respect him, learning both martial arts and valuable life lessons. I genuinely recommend Sam to anyone that's looking for self-defense or an authentic martial arts program.

Facility is clean, instruction is world class, and training is safe. More details below. In a world where kids are constantly being pulled from one distraction to another it is refreshing to have a jujitsu class where students have the opportunity to learn to focus and practice maintaining attention while receiving excellent martial arts instruction. A skill that spills over into their home and academic lives. I have watched students go from distracted and unknowing what and where to pay attention to... to hyper focused in a few months of classes. The facility is very clean and inviting. The instructor has a tremendous base of knowledge and is able to communicate it very well to all age levels. Above all else the training is extremely safe. Students are taught how to keep themselves and others in the class safe. The classes are taught to minimize the risk of injury and Sam does a great job of educating the dangers of each position which carries over in the students (all ages) looking out for each other.

As a child sensei Sam played a huge role in not only my martial arts journey but also in life. I think the most important lesson that I’ve taken away from sensei Sam is to be humble and to never let your ego get in the way, especially on the mats. I am extremely grateful for what I learned in just a couple of years training with sensei Sam.

Marcellini's Martial Arts Academy is a genuinely special place. The lead instructor, Sam Marcellini, is an incredibly skilled martial artist as well as a gifted teacher (the two don't always go hand in hand!). Furthermore, the facilities are always clean, and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. I really can't recommend it enough.

I’ve been training with Sensei Marcellini for quite some time now. He is the best teacher I have ever had. I am learning at an extremely fast rate even though I am an older student. He breaks down the steps into small chunks of information so the students can digest it easily. He’s the best martial arts instructor there is!
