Best place I’ve ever trained, bar none. Not only is full of the most skilled no-gi players in the city, the community is full of some of the most friendly, welcoming, and humble folks I’ve ever encountered in a sport where that is too often hard to find. Travis simply rocks, as both an instructor and as a human, and has created an atmosphere that keeps BJJ fun while making sure everyone is progressing and getting better. Glad to say that I found my gym for life.

Great gym to train at. Travis is a skilled instructor (and accomplished competitor) and it's a nice, welcoming community with people from all walks of life, students of all levels including very high, and a culture of camaraderie and support. I started training here in Jan 2023 to learn some practical self defense. From my first weeks I felt like I was learning practical things, but also realizing how much there is to learn. As a result, game becomes addictive. It's also a great workout. Engaging, cardio, strength, functional movement.

Magalit is an incredible diverse community, and a great place to learn an amazing sport. I came in two years ago never having done any combat sport before, and was very nervous. Travis and the group of people here made it easy and fun to learn a complex, but very rewarding skill. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new physical hobby!

All of the instructors here are folks who care about your development. Travis, Junior, Ben, and others teach key details that really make a difference in learning the art of jiu jitsu. I've trained here for 2.5+ years. Aside from becoming better at grappling, I made new friends, lost 15+ lbs, and developed a tougher mindset. The gym culture is very friendly; we're all chatting/connecting before and after class here. Bonus shout out to the kids program which my son (6) attends twice a week: he's consistently built his discipline and ability to learn here.

They have a working shower, two restrooms, a water dispenser, great cleaning supplies and staff If you've been in enough Martial Arts gyms in SF you know how rare and important these things are. Now they also have Muay Thai program with a geek that will talk your head off about martial arts.
