I have been training with Ricardo at Los Angeles Jiu Jitsu Academy for over a year and a half. Ricardo is an incredible instructor. He has trained under Rickson and Kron Gracie for several years and knows the fundamentals of Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Ricardo has the ability to teach those fundamentals to his students so they can develop the skills necessary to meet their training goals. I would highly recommend anyone interested in learning Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to train at the LA Jiu Jitsu Academy with Ricardo.

Sick location, super clean set up, good parking, and phenomenal jiu jitsu. Everyone is super friendly and the level of jiu jitsu is high. You can’t get a better teacher than Ricardo and if you’re a beginner it’s the perfect place to start. Kron Gracie jiu jitsu is the truth!!

We are so happy with this studio. All three of my kids go, two boys and a girl. My daughter has so much confidence after class. You cannot put a price on that. The coaches are so good with young kids. They are able to teach kids in a way that is positive and encouraging. We are very greatful to have found this studio.

I have been training with and under Ricardo 🥋 since 2017 and he is by far one of the best teachers of jiu-jitsu I’ve ever experienced in all my years of training. If you’re looking for great atmosphere with great people and want to learn OG Rickson Gracie self-defense and jiu jitsu with detailed teaching and techniques, this is hands-down the place to go!

As someone who has visited the Los Angeles Jiu Jitsu Academy a couple of times while in town visiting my brother, I can confidently say it's one of the best in the area. The facilities are clean, well-equipped, and having a shower is a huge plus after a rigorous session. What truly sets this academy apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere cultivated by both the professor and the students. The professor was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home despite not being a regular student. And speaking of students, they were equally friendly and supportive, embodying the true spirit of martial arts. One of the highlights during a visit was the opportunity to meet Kron Gracie and Nate Diaz. It's not every day you get to train in the same space with jiu jitsu legends like them. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a place to train, I highly recommend the Los Angeles Jiu Jitsu Academy. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, you'll find a welcoming community and excellent training facilities here.

I personally train here & would absolutely recommend for any parent considering martial arts for their children. The instructors are patient, the environment is super welcoming. Through my non-profit I've also witnessed how jujitsu in general can be a valuable tool for every day life, and have seen first hand, starting the journey change the course of kids lives entirely.

Rickson Gracie black belt and head instructor, Ricardo Rosa is an amazing instructor! Enrique and Ruben are also extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring instructors. They take their time and breakdown techniques clearly and proficiently. Great mix of self defense and sport BJJ with plenty of time to practice/roll. There’s also no shortage of great training partners. Im just getting back into the swing of things after a long time off and everyone has been extremely supportive and very easy to get along with! The facility is modern, very clean, and welcoming. After trying out multiple gyms in the area, I feel really lucky to have found Ricardo Rosa and his team! I’m looking forward to training with the team for a long time to come. Couldn’t recommend LA jiu jitsu academy enough!

I've been training here for a little over a month and feel right at home. Ricardo, Reuben, and Enrique are all extremely helpful and welcoming coaches. The instructor lineage routes up through Kron/Rickson Gracie, so the form of Jiu Jitsu taught here covers many aspects of self defense that would apply to MMA or a street fight scenario. The gym culture here is extremely welcoming. Everyone I have met and trained with thus far have been very helpful and friendly towards me. As someone who was definitely nervous walking into a place like this not knowing anyone, the anxiety faded almost immediately at the door when I was greeted with handshakes. This is definitely the place to be if you are interested in learning Jiu Jitsu.

Ricardo the head instructor is dedicated, has great attention to detail and provides all the attention anyone might need. The other instructors Ruben and Enrique are great too. The gym's environment is very welcoming and is in a central location with tons of parking. This gym gets all 5 ninja stars!

Both Ricardo and his son Enrique are the most incredible teaches to my 6 year old son Asher! They are teaching him discipline (in a patient and living way)as well as teaching him how to protect himself! I would recommend LA Jiu Jitsu academy to anyone who is looking to get there kids started in the best self defense!!!

Ricardo was the head instructor at Kron Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Culver City before it shut down during the pandemic and Kron moved to Montana. Ricardo had a big responsibility on his shoulders when it came time to get a new school up and running in Los Angeles. He has pulled it off beautifully and has created a safe fun and rigorous training space with his top level instruction. There are black belts in this world, and there are black belts who not only have a masterful understanding of Jiu Jitsu, but have a real calling and love for teaching jiu jitsu and Ricardo is the ladder.. The icing on the cake is the direct lineage to Rickson and Kron. The gym is relatively new but a great size with a shower and separate work out area, not to mention ample parking in a quiet part of Culver City. It can only go up from where it is at. I have been training with Ricardo for 7 years now and I bring anyone I know who is interested in jiu jitsu to his gym because it is the perfect place to get the fundamentals while feeling safe and welcome. You're family once you step on the mat.

Great instruction. Authentic Jui-Jitsu from the source lineage. Professor Ricardo is an awesome teacher. Attention to details. Stand up self defense and ground grappling. True professional with a passion for teaching. And a nice guy. Haha. Good training partners to help each other learn and grow. Clean and comfortable mats. Get in shape while having fun. Day and evening classes to fit your work schedule. Easy access location close to the 405 and 90 freeway. Free plenty of parking. Take a trial class. Be healthy, be happy. Highly recommended. Los Ángeles jiu jitsu academy is an authentic jiu jitsu academy. Professor Rossa’s lineage roots are from Helio, to Rickson, to Kron, to professor Rossa. He cars about his students progression. And he’s awesome with the kids. I drive my daughter from an hour away. That pretty much says it all.

I've been training with Ricardo in his white belt classes for about a year now. I've tried multiple academies in the Los Angeles area before landing here and it's hard to find better instruction than this. Ricardo is a Black Belt from Kron and his former head instructor (before it shut down). The Jiu Jitsu you learn is straight from Rickson and Kron - full of submissions and positions that work for self-defense, not just sport Jiu Jitsu. The atmosphere here is amazing. A mix of competitive spirit and friendliness. All the upper belts are willing to help out and teach you where you messed up.
