  Frank and Gian are incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about each child’s confidence and development — not just their technique. Both of my kids have grown so much since starting here, both physically and emotionally. They’ve learned discipline, respect, resilience, and confidence in such a positive and supportive environment. I couldn’t recommend this gym more highly to any parent looking for a safe, encouraging place for their children to learn jiu jitsu and important life skills.

  Our two boys started here more than two years ago and we have not looked back. We tried a few other studios before finding Locals Zetland and let me tell you, you won't find a more incredible team than Troy, Frank, Gian and the teachers here. They have given our boys so much confidence and discipline and are always caring and fair. The community they've built here is an absolute blessing, we are so grateful for this place and this team of great humans!

  So proud to be part of this academy. My daughter has been a member since it opened in Zetland and we as a family have grown to love the local community it has formed with many friendships. My daughter has developed many skills including discipline, confidence, strength, agility and skills to carry through life. She is strong and able to put many of these skills into her daily life in school home and through other sporting activities she is involved in. Highly highly recommend for not only kids but also adults. They have a great range of classes of all abilities. Everyone is learning which is the greatest thing of all.

  We love Locals!! It's our second home. The kids get so excited to go to class where they can hang out with the other kids and Master Frank. Highly recommend to any adults out there thinking about getting their kids into Jiu.

  Amazing family friendly Jui Jitsu gym with a fantastic kids program. We did a trial class and then signed up for their 10 pass offer to give our 4 year old time to decide if he wanted to do it. He has loved it and talks about going to wrestling during the week. If you want your youngster to spend time practising their listening and learning good values like respect and discipline I couldn't recommend Locals more highly.
