LJJ is absolutely incredible! The instructors are highly skilled and also incredibly supportive, making every class welcoming for beginners. The community here is amazing—everyone is friendly, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping each other grow. The facility is clean and has everything you need to train effectively. I recommend this place to everyone!

I have been training at Lexington Jiu Jitsu for a little over a year; it has been the very best experience! The instructors are incredible. The classes are well organized and versatile for any situation. I highly recommend this academy for all levels of your Jiujitsu journey.

Such an awesome place. Tons of fun and really good people. So many different instructors and high level guys offering help and rolling controlled and safely. The best place for longevity while also gaining super skill level. Everyone there treated me like family.

Great place. Visited a few other gyms and ended up and Lexington Jiu Jitsu due to the great instruction, and incorporation of Sparring into their instruction. Not crazy high energy Sparring like some places but simply trying techniques against a partner who is trying to resist. Invaluable in the learning process, imo. LJJ is great with visitors and new people, so come give it a shot!

Lexington jiujitsu has become my home away from home. I love it there. My classmates have become my friends. My teachers have become my friends. Jeb has something really special in Lexington jiu jitsu. Most BJJ academies these days are sport gyms focused on competing. That’s not what Jeb’s place is about. Some of us compete, and he is very supportive of that, but he doesn’t emphasize competition. He emphasizes learning the skills of jiu jitsu in order to be able to defend yourself in real life. He doesn’t teach in order to win points in a sport, he teaches to make you hard to kill. He also emphasizes safety in order to keep everybody healthy and able to stay on the mat. We don’t try to kill each other at Lexjj, which isn’t always true everywhere one might train. We are working to acquire skill. Jeb and the other instructors leave their egos out of jiu jitsu. This is another thing you can’t necessarily expect just anywhere. Jeb will tell you he wants to make you better than him-that’s his goal. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, and his blue bell ice cream reviews during warm-ups have become the stuff of legend. Jeb’s non jiu jitsu-related commentary in itself is entertaining and is something I find myself looking forward to. His jiu jitsu knowledge and philosophy towards it really resonates with me. I enjoy learning from all the other instructors as well. Ted, Aubrey, Craig, and now Chris as well are all not only super knowledgeable, but they’re fun too. You’re going to have fun while you’re learning. I look forward to seeing each of them for class. They’re going to make you laugh while they’re teaching you and helping you improve. Mike is another black belt that is always around helping everyone to get better. I Love all those guys. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy being a part of the group at LexJJ. When I go there I’m going to work on jiu jitsu, but my feeling is also that I’m going to hang out with my friends. I feel as though what I get out of going to Lexjj makes me a better all around father and spouse to my family, too. It really kind of rounds out a quite full and satisfying world for me. Thanks Jeb for fostering an environment that has brought together such fun, good people that I get to call my friends. I look forward to training at Lexington jiu jitsu for years to come!
