Jean Jacques Machado BJJ Perth is run with real old-school passion. The owners genuinely care about the gym, the culture, and the people—they live and breathe it. It's rare to see a place so committed to building something real. Love what they’re doing.
Started with Paul and Lora about 3 months ago with my young son both having never done BJJ before. They have been very welcoming as have all the guys in the club....... I can't recommend more highly!
Huge thanks to Paolo for dedicating his time to building up an amazing group of people at his gym! They're the friendliest bunch of people who are always willing to sharing their knowledge to help each other improve. It's been an honor to train under coach Paolo. He's welcoming, humble and an excellent teacher. I've never felt like there was a question I couldn't ask. Couldn't have asked for a better gym culture or coach to start my bjj journey!
Visit Australia for a second time and stop by to train at one of the best bjj academy ran by professor Paolo, Super nice guy and great coach, other than that those members are friendly to train with, a welcome training there, will stop by again later one day ♡

This place is fantastic. As a bigger fellow, I struggled to find my place in many gyms. The mat culture at JJM perth is fantastic and inclusive. The place is kept meticulously clean and has a weights room as well.
Paolo, owner/coach, is dedicated to the people he coaches and can break a technique down so that even the newest white belt can understand the finer points.
If you're looking for somewhere to drop a few KG's or to learn self defense, this is it, the hardest part is walking through the door the first time.
A fantastic training environment for young and old. If your goal is to be functionally fit and learn BJJ, this is the place to train. Paolo (instructor and owner) is a dedicated professional who has devoted his life to the art.
Best BJJ place in Perth!!! friendly atmosphere and people, will give you a great workout while learning some cool grappling techniques!! Prof. Paolo has a great deal of knowledge and wisdom to offer! Affilated with one of the best pioneers of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world, Master Jean Jacques Machado (7th Degree Coral Belt). Great place to train to be a competitor in the sport or just learn traditional BJJ.
