  Top-class coaching in a top-class facility - I recently travelled to Hamburg for a vacation and reached out to Julian to ask if I could train in his academy while there. Julian was very welcoming and accommodating and also took the class in English to accommodate for non German speakers. The training was really great, the members all very friendly and welcoming and the rounds were excellent, all within an incredible facility. Would highly recommend IPABJJ to anyone living in the area or visiting.

  Very high quality training, excellent gym space and a great group of people. I joined IPA after moving to Hamburg, having trained for a few months back in the UK. I felt instantly welcomed and the combination of well planned out and detailed training from Julian, alongside the friendly atmosphere in the gym is unbeatable. As a beginner I feel well looked after and I am learning new things every session.

  Brilliant place with a lot of heart and warmth for travellers - I wrote the Head Coach and Owner Julian and he assembled a group to welcome our crew on a Friday morning and we rolled all together. Zero politics, zero bad vibes - I'm definitely coming back...!! Thanks Julian and I.P.A 🌞🤙🏻✌️

  5/5! We went there for one practice, they expected 8 people, but ended up being 15-ish, so coach (Julian) made a system so everyone would spar each other and get experience of sparring new partners every round. Nice way to get some experience with new grapplers! Everyone was super nice and I even exchanged contacts with some of the guys in the gym - will defiantly come back😊 All around a good experience with competent coach and nice facilities, not to mention the local cat, Ibs - super chill vibes

  Julian is a great coach and I love his teach styling. His explanations are really technical and he give us freedom to explore the position as you wish, so you can use the time as it fit you best. I am still have a lot to improve, with Julian’s feedback I saw great progress in a short time in many of my technics. He also does great pairing with the students, matching similar levels on ways which make fun and challenging. I definitely recommend it.
