I had a great experience joining the bjj class on Thursday 20:00. A great environment with skilled people and a skilled coach that teaches the class very nicely. I will recommend all the guys from my BJJ team to visit this gym to train, should they ever visit Stuttgart.

Unfortunately, my experience with the school was short and bad. I called asking if I could come for a test training, the person on the phone said I just should arrive 20 minutes in advance and bring sports clothes and flip flops. On the website, there is something similar: "Überzeuge Dich selbst und besuche als Anfänger unser Basic-Training. Unser Probetraining ist kostenlos. Sei 20 Minuten vor Trainingsbeginn da, damit du genug Zeit hast, um dich umzuziehen und zu informieren." When I arrive, 20 minutes in advance, the person in the reception said that I should have sent an email and that I was not allowed to join the training that day. When I told him that I called before and someone told me it was ok to go he said: "on the phone, anyone can say anything". What does that even mean? (just a tip for the reception guy: on an email, anyone can say anything too.) Besides this, that person repeated 4 or 5 times "Welcome to Germany". I will not elaborate on how this sounds, as it is evident. I will just point out that I live here for 2 years and this interaction is exceptionally negative. Last but not least, looking on the website, I noticed that this person is not one of the trainers. I have been involved with martial arts for some time and I know that the people are usually very kind and welcoming.
