At Gracie University, we believe Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is for EVERYONE, regardless of age, gender, athleticism, or ability. We are proud to say that we are continuing the legacy of Grandmaster Hélio Gracie, who believed jiu-jitsu should empower the weak to be able to defend against the strong. This is why we offer structured martial arts curriculums specific to the self-defense needs for any demographic or skill level, with programs created for beginner adults, women, and children. We take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming learning environment for all students and family members in Torrance. We started the kid’s Bullyproof for our son two years ago. Brian and the other instructors have real talent for teaching kids; they know how to mix together fun, challenge, safety, and discipline in a way that kids respond to. I’ve recently started Combatives, and it is excellent also.

I’ve been training in various martial arts for 31 years. While I did not grow up with the Gracie University system (it didn’t exist yet), I have watched it grow and mature into the most comprehensive training available. We can argue attributes of sparring all day long, but nothing comes close to level of professionalism and commitment to long-term performance as Gracie Omaha. Thank you, Brian and team for taking in a worn down stray and inspiring me to find joy in Jiu Jitsu again.

Gracie Jiu-jitsu Omaha will transform your mindset and life. Brian and Nicole are amazing, and the women empowered class has impacted my life in more ways than one. I've learned so many life-saving techniques, but I've also learned how to set important boundaries physically and mentally. I highly recommend them!!

I joined coming up on a year ago now and I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions of my life. I started with signing my son up and shortly after myself and then my daughter. The Bonifas family welcomed us with open arms. They are friendly, caring, and always putting safety #1. When deciding to start jiu jitsu I had the same fear as many do. "Is this safe?" "Will one of my kids or myself get hurt?" "Will I be judge for not knowing anything?" All of these question were answered right away. The program is built to allow you to learn the techniques in a way that you will be able to train for years to come. The culture their is one that everyone from every walk of life is welcome. Every student is willing to help or find someone that can. I do wish I could give more stars. The way this is built and maintain by the Gracie program and Bonifas family being so amazing and building this amazing culture of learning. I can see myself doing jiu jitsu for the rest of my life. To sum it up, if you want to learn jiu jitsu, try something new, or meet new amazing people. There is no better place than Gracie Jiu Jitsu Omaha.

Only Been here a month instructors and fellow partners are all very welcoming . No one comes in with any other intentions but to learn or better ju jitsu in a safe matter. If you’re on the fence about giving it a try let this place help you with open arms.

As a first time martial arts student, I got really lucky finding this place and meeting and all the cool people there. Gracie jiu jitsu doesn’t just throw you in and make you fend for yourself. There is a structured learning environment that ensures you are ready for the next level. I can only speak for the combatives course which is the beginners course. The techniques are well explained and demonstrated. It’s a great learning environment. They have a mix of class times to fit different schedules, morning and night. Best of all are the people. Everyone is friendly and helpful. You’ll meet people from all walks of life with a shared interest in jiu jitsu. They have a nice free trial period to see if it’s for you.

I joined Gracie Jiu-Jitsu about a month ago. One of my daughter's and I had been talking about doing a self defense class. She found Gracie here in Omaha and we could not be more happy with our choice! The leaders are truly wonderful people that care about you and your experience with them! I LOVE my class and absolutely HATE to miss it! I walk out of there truly feeling empowered and ready to take on the world! they might have just found a customer for life!

Did a drop in to the 6am class as I was in Omaha for the week. Great class and great atmosphere. Brian was incredibly welcoming and accommodating and clearly understands not only the theories behind BJJ but their practical applications as well. Anyone looking to try out BJJ in Omaha should come by. I will try to go there whenever I am back in Omaha.

My husband found the studio in August and our entire family has since joined as members. The kids are thriving in the Bullyproof kids program which is such a great program to give confidence and strength in positive ways to kids. Brian is an amazing coach and adapts to the atmosphere when different personalities are present. The fact that the studio is family run is a huge plus. We love supporting local owners and families. I am part of the Women Empowered Program which is an amazing community of women. Brian and Nicole have taught me so much and I continue to learn from them technique and situational awareness recognition. Brian brings in his perspective from the law enforcement background and Nicole brings a lot of practical thoughts from a women’s perspective. I look forward to going each week. I now watch the videos available to me to refresh and study before class. My husband is in the Combatives program and has loved the variety in students who come from all backgrounds and expertise. The studio is focused on techniques based on typical scenarios mimicking real life. Eventually we practice reflex development when we master techniques. It’s a great community full of positive people in a safe environment. I tell everyone I know about them and will continue to support this studio as my own family grows with them. We love Brian and Nicole!!

I walked into Gracie Jiu-jitsu Omaha with zero knowledge of jiu-jitsu, completely new and well into my mid 40's. No prior experience in any sort of self defense instruction. My first class I was completely nervous inside but it was all for nothing. The instructors are great in explaining techniques. Each lesson is done slow and in a very controlled environment. Lessons are kept on your personal progression chart so you know where you are at in the program. I have only great things to say about Gracie Jiu-jitsu Omaha. I highly recommend everyone to come see for yourself.

I love this approach to jiu jitsu and self defense. The head instructor is knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions I have. They have a wide variety of classes and the bully proof kids class has helped my kids so much.

My wife and I visited this summer. The facility was spotless. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in. All the students were working together and cooperating. It was a safe and positive learning environment. Brian is a confident and humble instructor. We would highly recommend GJJ Omaha for anybody of any age or athletic ability!

This is a great place. Brian is an extremely knowledgeable, organized, and patient instructor, and he creates a very welcoming and cooperative environment. I particularly recommend Gracie Omaha if you're new to BJJ. On another level, the Gracie system in my opinion is the most practical of martial arts from a "real world" self-defense standpoint.

I am turning 65 this year and was 50 lbs overweight when I recently joined Omaha Gracie University. If I can do this anyone can. Everyone involved is safe, friendly, and willing to help you along in your journey, whatever journey you are on. My was to get back in shape and lose some weight. I lost 12 lbs in the first two weeks. Don't overthink joining and give the 10 free lessons a try. You will be glad you did!

I cannot say enough about the Gracie Bully Proof program, and especially Coach Brian's exceptional teaching style for kids of all ages. My 10 year old son has gained back his confidence and focus, and my 7 year old daughter is also learning to be assertive and stand up for herself against bullies. If you have the misfortune of experiencing bullying in your children's lives, look no further than Coach Brian and the Gracie Bully Proof program. Your kids will learn to stand up and defend themselves without instigating any fights, the first lesson being to avoid the fight at all costs, and verbally tell the other person "Stop." Simply a top notch program in a clean and well-organized facility. My kids would attend every day of the week if they could.

This school is the by far the best for anyone wanting to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a self-defense mindset! New students are welcomed and taught safely, and experienced students are always helping out. Brian, the instructor, embraces every part of the Gracie way.
