By far the best decision we have ever made for our son. From exercises, to learning how to be safe, and respectful. The professor and coaches are all so amazing, super Hands-on, and very eager to teach. They all have such amazing and positive attitudes every class. They even help when my son has shown listening or attitude problems at home. We always know we can turn to them like family. I have watched my son grow in so many ways in such a short amount of time thanks to Gracie Barra.
Posted 1 year agoWe've been at Gracie for several years. It's a great family environment where all are welcome. The kids' program promotes self-defense, confidence, and discipline. The adult classes are for all types, young and old, fit and just waning to stay active.
Posted 11 months agoMy grandson went to this location to learn jujutsu, and he really enjoyed it. He looks forward to going every week because the instructors are very good with the kids. However, I don't agree with how they earn their belts. They aren't tested on what they know; instead, they receive their belts based on the time they've spent there. I believe they should be assessed on their knowledge and what they have learned to ensure they can effectively use the skills taught by the instructors.
Posted 9 months agoThis is the best place!! There's a place for everyone!! Jiu-Jitsu teaches you so much! The professors André , Albert, Enrique and Al are the best. They really help you understand and keep you motivated. While learning skills you are also getting in shape and sharpening your mind. This place and all of the wonderful people in it have helped me change myself mentally and physically. I am learning more than I thought possible. Professors André, Enriqué, Albert and Al are just absolutely amazing! There's no better place to go. Invest in Yourself! You fit in and this is a family!
Posted 3 years agoVery welcoming community of professors and the amount of instruction given per class far surpasses other local schools. I appreciate the schedule offering both night and day classes as well as weekends and love that there are daily open mat times as well. I am happy I made the change to Gracie Barra Tucson, I recognized the talent in team members whom competed in tournaments I attended and knew Gracie Barra was the right choice. I look forward to achieving my BJJ goals with my teammates!
