We started our daughter in the GBK program and she has loved it ever since! Professor Jacquline and all of the professors are so wonderful with the children and take the time to show them new skills along with practicing and having fun! Highly recommend to anyone.

I’ve been taking classes here for a month and it has been such a wonderful adventure! I came here with no experience and the instructors have been so helpful and encouraging. I am learning a lot and it’s given me a lot of personal confidence. I highly recommend this academy!

I started my 5-year-old here when school started. The results have been amazing, his focus and attention to detail have gotten so much better. He loves jiu jitsu so much and the entire staff is so patient with the younger children. I would highly recommend anyone with younger kids to consider Gracie Barra Trussville. Well worth it!

Started my 7 year old son here last month and I’ve never seen him this excited or driven. The professors Pedro and Jaqueline are genuinely kind and helpful people. And of course extremely knowledgeable about jujitsu. My son can’t stop talking about jujitsu and his instructors. Not sure if they have children of their own but both instructors are amazing and easily connect with children

I brought my 6 YO son in for the free trial (3 lessons) and unfortunately he did not do well with it as he is very shy. However the commitment from both instructors to try and get him involved while also respecting his boundaries was amazing. I would highly suggest to any parent to try it out here. The instructors give a true feeling of every member being a part of a family. Gym is clean and professional.

Professor Pedro has more years just as a black belt than most instructors have years of training in the area. Professors Jackie and Pedro have tons of experience. The gym is very clean and is a wonderful facility! If you have ever thought about jiu jitsu this is a Fantastic place to start your journey! It has positive benefits for the entire family! It Develops you both physically and mentally! If your goal is leaning jiu jitsu for self defense, weight loss, more confidence, or to be a world class competitor this place has you covered!

As a student under the Gracie Barra curriculum I have found an amazing group of people to learn these skilled techniques with. It is a healthy place of learning, and the professors are incredible. I have been associated with Gracie Barra, and the lead professors for over a year and there are so many great things I could say about them and their work ethic. Very nice and clean gym. I have trained with Pedro and Jacqueline since 2019. They are world class and maintain a safe, warm and welcoming environment for everyone.
