    THE BEST BJJ GYM. Everyone there is always nice and greed you with a smile. I really like this location, I am from Brazil and I was looking for something like in my country, since my son is from here. My son is 3 and he loves it. Very positive environment, even my son is the smallest they are always trying to keep him busy and to follow the class in the most fun way. The goal is to have fun, and I love that the professors are always saying that. The kids there are so kind, love to share what they have learned and they help the little ones. My son was only used to kids at daycare, now he is way more social with all the kids. I can see my son developing valuable life skills, while learning to defend himself. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks professor AJ for bringing a little bit of my country to your gym!!!!

    This is a very special place. My 12-year-old son has been training there for a year. The coaches are incredibly patient, supportive, and understanding of children while also gently pushing them to be their best. Coach Dennis and Eddie are wonderful people who have enriched our son's life with their BJJ training. Highly recommend for children and adults.

    Both of my boys, ages 6 and 9, have been attending classes here, and we’ve been so impressed! The instructors are not only incredibly skilled but also so patient and encouraging, making sure the kids are both challenged and supported. The gym has a great community vibe with a strong emphasis on respect, discipline, and teamwork. It’s clear that the coaches truly care about each child’s progress. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my children both physically and mentally. It’s been amazing to watch them grow and develop new skills! Highly recommend this gym for any athlete looking to learn Jiu-Jitsu.

    Super friendly but structured team. Coach AJ, Eddie, and Dennis know their way of teaching kids. Perfect spot for your children to get to know the world of Jiujitsu! Coach Dennis, Eddie and Professor AJ are the best!

    *Updated to add that my kids are now 7 and almost 9 and still training at Gracie Barra West LA. They have really improved with their technique since they started training with Coach AJ and the rest of the team. They are always excited to come to class. It has boosted their confidence immensely in all facets of life. My kids (8 & 6) both attend class here and really love it. They are very different kids with different approaches to sports - one does it 'just for fun and exercise' and the other one really wants to 'train to compete' - and they both get a lot out of each class. We tried multiple kids jiu jitsu classes around LA before choosing where to commit to and we found the specificity of training, the enthusiasm and talent of the coaches and the quality of the classes to truly be the best here.

    We have been attending GBJJ for almost a year now and I have nothing but wonderful things to tell! My son adores his AMAZING coaches, the schedule is flexible, and the place is run professionally. I have seen so much discipline and progress in my son’s ability to practice JJ in the past year and we owe it all to the fantastic team st GBJJ.
