I’ve been a member of Gracie Barra Broadbeach for 3 years now and it has been an incredible experience. I used to train back in Brazil, and when I was finally ready to get back on the mats, Professor João and the team welcomed me so warmly. The community and coaching are excellent—so much so that I even signed up my 5-year-old child a year after joining. It’s a great, safe, and welcoming environment for both adults and kids!

I had a short but awesome time at GB Broadbeach! The whole team was amazing—super friendly and always pushing you to improve. The coaches really cared about your well-being and were always giving helpful feedback. Big shoutout to Professor João Ruffo it was so cool to train with such a great coach and even better person. Totally recommend this crew!
Since joining in November of 2024 it has been a roller coaster of emotions never thought I’d end up doing a martial art as it was way way out of my comfort zone as I’ve always been a bigger guy a bit clumsy, But Professor Ruffo and every one else at the gym has made me feel welcome since day one the environment that has been created makes me feel like I’m with my family,
