Been training here for years now. Lots of good people to train with and excellent instruction. Great school for people who would like to learn jiu-jitsu and train without the fear of a group of people trying to snap your limbs and choke you to sleep at every chance they get in the name of "training"! As for the "money issues" in others reviews Ive read, Professor Magid does what he can, as soon as he can, to remedy any payment issues. If there is a problem, it has usually been 1 of 4 things
1) Student failed to show up and sign required paperwork to properly cancel or put on hold
2) Student would not reply to phone, text, or email messages when trying to reach out
3) There is an issue with the billing company and it is unknown until processing cycles are finished
4) Someone got upset and instead of communicating any issues or problems, goes straight to complaining.
When moving to this state, due to past experiences at other schools, I really made an effort to do research and physically visit other local gyms. That being said, there's a reason why I picked Gracie Barra Escondido and have stayed for 7+ years.
