    We’re unbelievably lucky to have Daniel Tavares here in South Jersey. His accolades in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu competition is unmeasurable. His instruction is world-class, and he brings that same high level of training to every class he teaches—including the kids’ classes. Daniel is the real deal—what he teaches is exactly what he uses in competition. Our academy is competitive yet welcoming, with a strong family-oriented atmosphere. Everyone who walks through the doors with or without any experience are welcomed.

    I took my son to Professor Daniel's Academy because he was getting bullied at school. His confidence has increased a lot in the 6 months that he has been attending. Professor Daniel is very experienced and knowledgeable but also passionate and humble and this reflects on his students. I feel we made a great decision to bring our Son to Daniel Tavares Academy!

    I am very lucky to have found Daniel, Jiu Jitsu, and the Daniel Tavares Academy family. Daniel keeps things fun while still pushing us all towards our own specific goals. You won’t find another instructor on his level let alone one as involved in the classes as him.

    I highly recommend the Daniel Tavares Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy for anyone looking to enroll their children. My daughters have learned so much in their time here—not just jiu jitsu techniques, but also important life skills like respect and discipline. Professor Daniel as well as the other instructors are patient and extremely knowledgeable, creating a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels supported. The sense of community is warm and inviting; everyone cheers each other on, making it a truly welcoming place. It’s been an amazing experience for my daughters, and I’m thrilled to see their growth both on and off the mat.
