This martial arts school is truly outstanding. The instructors go above and beyond for both the children and their families, creating a supportive and welcoming community. They don’t just teach martial arts—they also focus on character development, educating the children about positive behavior and constantly encouraging them to become the best version of themselves. Highly recommend!
Great service, attention, and the birthday parties are so awesome!! Kids and parents have a blast !! The instructor Mr David was so nice and energetic !! Highly recommended
I really don't know where to begin, to express my gratitude for this company, facility and their employees. I cannot speak on Championship as a whole but as for Sensai David and the team at alafaya, I can. We are a part of their family now and will be. Our son is soft spoken and a bit fearful, the loud noises, board breaks, and commands will be a test on his perseverance through these fears. In just 2 short months the confidence he shows, comes from the lessons he's taught here. We can see positive changes in our 5 year old, things I was unable to build him up enough to conquer, I was more his escape to hide from the fears. I will forever remember my 1st sensai when I was 5 years old, and so will Kekoa. The picture I'm attaching is from their back to school meet and great, we were not even on the team yet. Our son had to persevere through a huge fear to break this board and he almost tried to quit. He teard up, said but I can't break it and his Sensai said, do you trust me? Kekoa said yes, then I promise dude you got this. Do you see the reaction on the Mrs.Toni and Mr. David's faces? Ya know the utter and complete joy when he actually broke the board? We were strangers, and from this second on I knew we were family.
Our son Zyhir has been going for abt 6 wks. Can you say the instructors, teachers, the community (other parents) are an AMAZING VERY CLOSE NET FAMILY!!!! Everyone seems to be on the same page... It's abt these children & what they're getting outta this. I thank everyone who has stepped up over at the S. Alafaya School..

My son loves CMA! He’s learning respect, self-control, focus, as well as teamwork, amongst others. I have seen a positive change in his demeanor overall.
The staff is helpful and very patient. They tailor classes to their age/attention level and I’m amazed at the kids’ response.
Would recommend all day long.
Very family friendly environment! I am a father of three children and CMA has improved each of their awareness and discipline. It is a little costly, but well worth the expense when you notice your child develop a greater sense of responsibility. I highly recommend CMA for any parent of a child with interest in learning karate!
I feel super happy to have chosen ChampionChips Martial Art for my children. It has been a very good growing experience for them. The employees are very kind and courteous and the instructors are professional and dedicated to each one of them. Hope Soon my 3 year old also will join 🎊🥳
My daughter started when she a 6 year old shy girl, and they helped her out with her confidence. The senseis are great with the kids, they take their time to know each of them. Great place if you just want your kids to do a sport, or take it to the next step and go to competitions. #mialynnhardy

The staff and instructors do an excellent job teaching, and my kids get a good workout while developing their martial arts skills. They especially love parents' night-out events.
My son took interest in learning martial arts when he was four and was doing cartwheels and flying kicks off our couch while watching Power Rangers. I'd done a little research, but nothing seemed to fit us at that time. Flash forward to 2023, and my eight-year-old son had a few instructors from Championship Martial Arts visit his school for a short week-long program. Naturally, a demonstration from the blackbelts and a few impressive kicks and flips from Mr. Eric spoke directly to my little ninja's soul. Talk about having a new idol!
A little over a year later, and I can't express my gratitude for the community we have found within Championship Martial Arts. They aren't just teaching physical conditioning and marital arts, they work every day in small ways to teach confidence and good character. Within two weeks of working with Ms. Bianca, I heard the first Yes, Ma'am uttered at home when he was asked to help out. It wasn't prompted; the respect was just muscle memory.
I've watched my son fail and succeed in this past year. I've watched him learn how to handle disappointment and come out stronger and more determined. The instructors truly care about the kids they teach. They take the time to get to know them, ask them how they are, and create a safe space for them. At first, my son could hardly make eye contact with an adult when they spoke directly to him, but he's made so much progress in learning how to communicate in only a year.
We recently participated in a boot camp program over the summer for sparring, and I watched Mr. David sit them down and begin teaching them how to give and accept criticism, to not be defensive about our faults but to use the feedback for growth, and it was impressive. Being coachable is a hard trait to teach, but every CMA instructor seems to know the secret sauce when it comes to this.
Going into the dojo and signing a contract was intimidating. I wasn't sure if my kid was going to burn out or lose interest. I didn't want to be the mom who forced her kid to go. But some days, you will have to force them to go. I've had to give the commitment and accountability speech more than a few times, but when he leaves training, he's always so glad he went.
I didn't realize just how expensive martial arts would be going into this when your kid wants to do everything from camps to competitions, but it's become a price we've tried to make room for because the experience has been exactly what my kiddo needed.
The clubs your child can work through as they train feel like a trophy to them, and when they get the call to Master's Club and reach for that crisp black and red uniform, just understand you live there now---but hey, there's always coffee!
After accepting our place in Master's Club and chatting with Ms. Toni to get things set up and sorted out, the drive home was very quiet. My son had his new uniform in his lap and was just smiling like a goof. Then he said, "I feel so lucky to have picked to train here because Ms. Toni sees me, she notices me." And if that isn't enough to sign your painfully shy child up at CMA, I don't know what is!
Clases are always on time , Dojo is super big and comfortable, instructors are very professionals. Clases are very helpful and they teach kids with patience and care.
They are truly amazing!
I’m very happy that I found this Dojo for my little one.
My son loves attending classes and when he is struggling with certain moves or exercises Sensei David, Sensei Eric and Sensei Ali all take the time to help him through it and they as well as Ms. Toni show the kids that they care about their students. They all let the children know that it’s okay to struggle and find it hard but what matters is that they do their best and that the techniques are more important than their speed to avoid injury.
They work with the parents if you ever have an issue with fees to try to find a solutions to assure that your child(ren) don’t have to miss out on their training. There we other Sensei’s that have been at the school teaching classes such as sensei Elias and sensei Bionca but they haven’t been at this location for a while. With that being said, if your child doesn’t do well with having multiple different instructors teaching them at different times than they might have a bit of a struggle staying focused. Lastly they also allow students who may be on the spectrum attend classes and they don’t make them feel any different from the other children and you don’t have to worry about bullying because they have zero tolerance for bullying.
I love the instructors and the entire staff. My daughter has been attending for a year and a half, and she has improved so much since day one. She is learning self-defense and discipline, and she has gained much more confidence than when she first started. Although she has always been a girly girl, she can now do pretty good push-ups and hit pretty hard, so watch out! 🤪
Our children love the level of support and high level of engagement from the Championship Martial Arts staff. They bring us into the training asking us to be involved at home as well as in the dojo.
My daughter and I have enjoyed attending CMA and their friendly staff. I have enjoyed seeing my daughter come out of her shell and become more confident in herself. Her growth has been noticed by her friends and family members. We enjoy how the CMA staff is always involved and gets to know each child independently, as well as challenge them to come out of their comfort zone. I truly recommend signing your child up at CMA! It has made a huge difference in my daughters life.
The instructors have really want to see your child succeed. They push them to do better but still keep it fun. They ensure to give constructive feedback when needed and positive feedback when they are doing well. My soon has been going for 2 1/2 years and wants to work there one day.
Sensei David has a fantastic approach for connecting with the kids and parents! It has really helped my son to develop confidence and respect. Ms Toni really shows she cares for the kids too. Whenever there is a challenge we know we can bring it to her and she genuinely cares and helps us to solve it.
Mr. David is an amazing instructor who provides a positive environment for my son while still challenging him to be his best. All the staff are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The parents are also very friendly. We are new there and we have felt very welcomed and my son is already making great friends! Thanks CMA!
My son started a couple of months ago, and this place is awesome. The instructors are very nice specially Mr Davis. Our son is learning a lot. He couldn’t be any happier.
My boys were not very enthusiastic about starting karate, but now they love it even though they won’t admit it. It’s nice to see them practicing at home at random times. Their instructors are kind and patient, and the dojo is the only one I’ve been to as a parent that smells good! I’m not the typical parent who encourages from the sidelines, as I get easily overstimulated by sights, smells, and sounds, but it’s nice to know that even if I’m not always in the building, I’m right outside, knowing my boys are getting the best care and instruction! Thank you, CMA-WTC!
My 7th grader takes Martial arts here and really enjoys it. And just got his brown belt. They have excellent knowledgeable staff and good communication. The facility is clean and well run and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
I was offered by the PTA to purchase a fundraising basket benefiting Waterford Elementary. The basket was for a month of karate classes, I thought my oldest daughter could use it to keep her busy over the summer. The month passed and we ended up buying a 1 year membership. She loves it. The senseis are fantastic and patient. If you are looking for a Dojo, give the Eastwood team a try. They are an excellent team.
This place is awesome! the Senseis (all of them) are very good and make the class lots of fun for kids (and parents). The kids exercise, learn karate, self esteem, discipline, gratitude, respect etc. And it's a lot of fun!. I participated in the adults class a long time ago and I really liked it too (had to stop because of my back). Less important but also awesome, the place is big enough and comfortable for parents to watch their kids.
Senseis Allison, Dakota, Nate, and Caleb are great teachers. The kids (and adults) have so much fun! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to all my friends.
My 2 kids have been going to this dojo for over a year and a half and both of the kids have done well, learning discipline, and advancing in belt rank. The senseis are very personable and patient teachers who provide a structured environment for the students.
Good place, big and the instructors try their best to make it personal and fun with each child.Careful when signing up and make sure your kid actually wants to stick to it. My son started losing interest a few months in ( not to the fault of the instructors, they are great with the kids!) and per the contract you can't get out unless they physically cannot participate or you move away. So if they decide they don't want to go you basically throw your money away.
