Both my kids (10 years old and 6 years old) love going to Championship Martial Arts. The instructors are highly skilled in martial arts and weapons. My kids attend Taekwondo classes three days a week and are always excited to go; they never get bored or want to skip. There is so much to learn beyond martial arts skills. The instructors encourage higher-ranking belt students to step up, volunteer, and help younger kids, fostering leadership skills. I would highly recommend joining Martial Arts classes here for their professionalism, mentorship, and encouragement. They help kids become physically and mentally strong.
My son is always waiting to go to class every week the teachers are kind and they teach a lot.
Hands down the best martial arts school! The instructors are kind and caring, they are patient and enthusiastic. The atmosphere is great, it is spacious and clean. Tons of people have come here looking for exercise and coming out with life skills that will follow them to the grave. My favorite part is that they don't just teach self-defense, they also have what's called "Leadership Class," which (clearly) teaches you to be a leader in life. The also have what they call the "Tenets of Tae-Kwon-Do" which they recite before every class, along with a student oath. The Tenets are: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. I think it go without saying, but this is a great thing to teach people. It's something that this world honesty needs more of. Without a doubt, it couldn't get any better! If I could, I would give it 10 stars.

Mr. Christian Cleve has more patience in his pinky than I do in my whole body! Both of my girls are very hyperactive and the staff here is able to channel that energy into focus and dedication. You can really tell they care about the kids here! They are thriving in this environment. And I even get a “yes ma’am!” now when I ask them to do things. 😊
Im a student here, and i LOVE IT SO MUCH, i love to learn the little things like combos, counter attacks, and even HANDSTANDS. It's SUPER fun to learn the bo staff and spar! I recommend it to ALL!

This place is the best martial arts place in the area you can find. The instructors are fantastic with every kid, better than a lot of teachers I’ve seen in a school. Our son started TKDO close to the age of 4, he's now almost 9 and his upcoming next test will earn him his first degree black belt! A fantastic achievement that wouldn't been able with the help of the great instructors he had at CMA Lantana. Very professional teachers over the years, teaching my son being an athlete that clearly helps him during his academy soccer and basketball games, discipline that shows at school and at home as well as leadership skills. It is so far an enjoyable 5 year journey that went by very fast
We LOVE CMA Lantana. My son is 7 and small for his age. CMA has given him confidence, maybe a little too much confidence. But what makes CMA Lantana amazing is seriously the staff. The personal attention each student gets is unbelievable. They greet my son (and his brother who does not take taekwondo) by name and are just the best. Mr. Davis might be the best instructor ever! But the entire team is amazing. Mr. Muscle and Ms. St. Clair make every class special. But what drove me to write this review happened today. A mom brought a toddler sibling to class that wanted nothing to do with watching (we have all been there). Mr. Hernandez jumped up and immediately started engaging him, having him kick and punch a pad. He was so happy. They are truly a family all around.
My 9 year old son has never liked sports. We’ve tried everything…soccer, baseball, etc. We had given up on sports but a chance conversation led us to try martial arts. We found Champion nearby, and after the initial free class, we were hooked! Since starting, my son is more focused, engaged, and excited to come to class. He is motivated to practice outside of class and talks about the friends he’s made so far there. The teachers have been amazing with him. They are encouraging and patient with the students. They know every child by name and motivate them to do their best at every session. I love attending classes with him and watching him progress. I would recommend Champion for anyone, adult or child.
My kid had a boring life before he started at CMA. He is always learning new techniques, new forms, and how to use new weapons in class. 😳🤣 He loves going to class and training with the amazing and knowledgeable staff. This is where you want to be and see some incredible results! It’s such a confidence builder.
If you are looking for an organization who will teach your child respect, focus, hard work and the rewards that come with them, this is your place! My son has been attending for about 6 months now and he thoroughly enjoys going to class. It's not always easy...but neither is life. He has taken a lot away from his experiences and has developed his own personal level of trust in the team. When he heard they were having a "parents night out" with parkour for the kids...he looked over at me during class and gave me "the nod"....we're in. The instructors are dedicated to the kids and ensuring they each have a safe and respectful experience with their peers. A wonderful group of people who my family appreciates greatly!!
We super recommend this place… that is not just a place ..is a family!… We started at Coppell but then we had to move out to Denton. After a couple of months we decided start over ... from Coppell they recommended Lantana location, because it was near to our new home ... so we tried... From the first moment they were super warm with us..they take care about everything between the different locations, they did not charge us any extra cost..they did everything perfect for us! This place is great ! My son love to go here and wait excited each class ! He is learning respect, listening, keeping focus on his tasks, consistency…self defense concepts and techniques.. The Instructors are awesome! they are super warm and friendly .. the really care the kids.. each time that they talk with them... they do it with love..care ..respect.. they are really great.
This is our other home!!! Absolutely love everyone here. It’s not just the amazing instructors, Kalyn, Elizabeth…..Mr Muscle and Chief Instructor Nick Davis who make this place great - it is also the kids, teens and adults who all support each other. Our son has been attending Championship Martial Arts for almost one year. He is going into 2nd grade. He is involved in Black Belt Club and attends the leadership class and kicks and tricks as part of his training. Joining this program has been one of the best decisions we have made. Our son went from hating to getting up in front of people to eagerly raising his hand to lead parts of class. The Leadership class has been wonderful for him. His confidence has grown by leaps and bounds. He has been able to apply virtues like self-control and integrity taught in class and has been able to apply them at home and school. He has so much respect for all of the instructors. Mr. and Mrs. Nevels have done a wonderful job making the school warm, welcoming and a place the kids look forward to going to. Mr. Davis is a very talented instructor and our son respects him so much. He is great with the kids and is really good at making class fun and engaging while also teaching discipline, self-control and perseverance. We are excited to watch our son continue to grow and develop as a martial artist and will be attending Championship Martial Arts for years to come.
Love this place!! My son has been going to Championship Martial Arts- Lantana for over 4 years. He started out as a white belt and has worked his way up to a second degree blackbelt!! He was so young when he started and a little shy, but he always loved going to class. Now he is in the teen class and is breaking boards higher than his age level. Mr Davis has challenged him to do his best and he is really growing into a wonderful young man. I am so happy we found this place and cannot wait to see how my son continues to grow with his martial arts training.
We had a birthday party for our boys with friends from age 2 to 11. Scott and helper did an amazing job of teaching to all levels and keeping them engaged. They learned some cool moves and great life lessons along with having a blast!!! I highly recommend for a birthday party or lessons!
Highly recommended! This is a great place to begin your path or to start over after stopping. I was involved in martial arts in Arkansas and when I moved to Texas I did not think I could join again somewhere else! Boy was I wrong 10 years later and I love this place and they have helped me get to where I was before I moved and heightened my skills beyond where I was before the move! Glad to call this my new home! I travel a lot for work and they have always been super helpful with making up classes.

Our daughter started taking TKD lessons here in August of this year (2019). She has really grown and thrived under the direction of her instructors and we really appreciate the program not only for the self defense techniques she is learning but also for the additional life skills of leadership, self respect, and respect for others. My son started going here in June 2017 and loves it. My son has gained a great deal of confidence over the last 2 years here. The instructors are great and they really keep the kids engaged. The best part is that they re-enforce the students saying “yes sir” and “yes ma’am.” I highly recommend Championship Martial Arts - Lantana.

Lantana TKD has been a great experience for my son. He has been taking classes for a little over a year and is even more enthusiastic now than when he first started. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, and great influences on the kids. Lantana TKD is teaching much more than martial art techniques. They provide a welcoming atmosphere and teach students valuable leadership and discipline lessons to help them improve their everyday lives.

The amount of change and growth I've seen in the two years my son has been here has been astronomical! We have been attending CMA-Lantana since the day they opened! At 4 year's old, my son wanted to be a ninja turtle and he looked forward to going to "ninja school" to learn the ninja ways. I was just hoping he could learn how to jump! 3 year's later, he still looks forward to "ninja school", his goal has evolved to being a black belt. Mr. & Mrs. Miscke are fantastic, patient instructors, who instill great confidence in the students and make them believe they can achieve whatever goal they set out to do. We also attend their summer camps - which our son looks forward to going to each day and I don't have to worry because I know it's a safe, nourishing & fun environment. We love it here!
My son has been going here for a couple of years now for taekwondo lessons and it’s been fantastic. The owners pour their hearts into this place and it doesn’t go unnoticed. They’ve helped my son, not only with the sport, but also with his self esteem, building his character and leadership skills. We decided to have his 10th birthday here and the kids loved it! Dodgeball, lightsaber wars, save the world, board breaking... what else could a 10yr old boy ask for?! They even helped him cut his birthday cake with a real sword. If you’re looking for a birthday spot near Lantana, I highly recommend it!

My wife and I moved from Austin to the DFW area about 3 years ago and checked out Championship Martial Arts-Lantana right after they opened. Proud to say I'm a part of their first group of students to go through just abouy all of the belt ranks. All of the instructors are extemely knowledgable and love what they do. Would highly recommend to any and all adults who are looking to get involved with martial arts or who are looking for a good outlet to let off some steam after a rough day of adulting. Wish Mrs. Hart would come back more often and put us through her 6 minute ab workout.

Lantana TKD came out as a vendor for our 20th anniversary celebration at AquaKids Flower Mound and they were awesome. They had a dummy and demonstrated good technique for interested guests. We hope to have them back again as they were a great representation of your company. Thanks Lantana TKD!
Lantana Taekwondo is more than a school, it's a community. My husband has been a student for 2.5 years now and it's incredible seeing how much he has learned not only about the sport but about himself as well. The instructors give students the tools they need to improve every single class -- and the tools they need to improve at home when practicing on their own as well! Many of the adult students and families welcome each other as new friends (not just as fellow students), which has made the studio a second home for many of us. I cannot sing their praises enough.
We signed our son up for a trial in March (appreciated that we didn't have to pay a ton up-front, in case he didn't enjoy it), and seven months later, we're still loving it! The instructors are knowledgeable and truly care about their students. They are great with the kids, and make the whole family feel welcome. We've seen our son's focus, balance, and confidence improve. He is much quicker to say "yes ma'am" and hop to it when I ask him to do something around the house. And most importantly, he is learning a new skill and having FUN!! We are so grateful and happy to be part of the Lantana Taekwondo family!

The most important thing for me when I look for classes for my daughter or myself are the people. Scott and Julie Mischke are some of the best instructors I've found. They are both talented, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring and welcoming people. Both my daughter and I take classes here. I have recommended this place to people in person and highly recommend it to anyone reading this review.

We relocated from Michigan to Texas earlier this year. My kids were attending a martial arts school there prior to moving. Once we settled, we visited other schools in area and decided on Lantana TKD. My kids enjoy going very much and ask to go now, which wasn’t the case before. The Mischle’s make it fun for them and are really good with kids of all ages. Really glad we chose this school.
Lantana TKD is absolutely amazing!!!! My son has taken classes from Mr. Mischke since he was 6 yrs old and now, he is currently a 10 yr old 2nd degree black belt. Mr. and Mrs. Mischke are amazing instructors who have not only taught my son karate, but they have made him a more focused student, a more respectful child, and have given him the confidence and support he has needed to reach unbelievable goals at such a young age!! I will sing their praises forever!!!!!!! I highly recommend this school!!!

We joined Lantana TKD after an 8 week introductory session earlier this summer. Our 7 year old son has gained not only confidence and discipline, but is steadily gaining more balance and physical strength. The staff knows kids by their names and tailors lessons accordingly. They are friendly but professional and available any time parents have questions. They also let parents know that they are available as an added resource for parents if children are struggling with discipline at home and/or at school. I highly recommend Lantana Taekwondo to other parents looking for a great place to get their child involved.
I love this facility- and faculty! The Mitschkes are excellent teachers exuding patience and instilling the tenants of taekwondo in each of their students. Both of my boys have greatly benefited from the mental and physical discipline of Taekwondo. I highly recommend this school!
Lantana Taekwondo has done so much for our family from giving us an outlet to go and train together, to helping instill confidence in our children and teaching them respect. I can't say enough good things about Lantana Taekwondo--they're amazing! My sister-in-law and I are in the adult classes, and my 4 nephews are in the children's classes. Julie & Scott Mischke are wonderful instructors, and so great with kids. The studio has a special focus on not only getting younger ones excited about taekwondo (which has a TON of benefits including self-discipline, confidence, physical fitness, etc.), but also engaging entire families. They even have a family class on Friday nights where kids and families can train together! The class environment is warm and encouraging--thanks to great lead and supporting instructors and upper ranks--while still encouraging kiddos and adults alike to put forth their best effort, grow, and challenge themselves. Lantana Tae Kwon Do is amazing! The Mischke's knowledge of TaeKwonDo instruction and age appropriate teaching is outstanding! My kids are so busy having fun in class and learning the martial arts, they are not even aware that I see huge growth in their character, self-discipline, and physical fitness. I am so thankful for Lantana TaeKwonDo!
I like it because I get to learn really quick.The instructors are really nice and they are the best!I have been there for one year and I still wanna keep going until my black belt because they are awesome!
My daughter gets very excited about new activities, but about 3-4 months in, she loses interest. Lantana Taekwondo keeps children engaged with a mix of fun and serious learning as well as interim "stripes" on their belts as they work toward the next level. We're now more than a year in and she's still into it! Scott and Julie are great about talking to parents when they have concerns, they're loving toward the children, but also strict when it comes to the discipline that many are seeking for their kiddos in tkd. All around, it has been a very positive experience for our family.
