Awesome instructors, my daughter loves it and I have seen growth since she has started.
Amazing place to learn the Art of Brazilian Bujustu and Jiujitsu. All the staffs were kind and friendly. I definitely recommend bringing your kids here.
We love what CTMA has done for our son! 100% recommend for you or your children! The staff is wonderful and caring, and Sensai is amazing! The summer camp and after school program schedules are very well organized!
Kids go every summer and enjoy it! This year was extra great with more field trips planned and still learning karate.
My son has been attending Summer camp and after school for a few years. It has been the best program! He has thrived with behavior and learned so much responsibility. The facility and instructors have been so great! Highly recommend!
My kids have attended summer camp for three years and absolutely love it! CTFK offers a wonderful blend of structure and fun. We will be back next year!
We have been coming here for over 10 years. My daughter completed the program and occasionally helps out as an instructor. Now, my son is very much enjoying it. They have an outstanding summer program, and by that I mean these kids are constantly busy. They just don’t stick a TV in front of them. They have different activities every hour, they do field trips every week and they always go swimming, Scott does a fantastic job of running such a successful place. My son never wanted to come home at summer camp. He loved being there all day long. I recommend this place, hands down! I promise your kids will be exhausted when they come home!
We have absolutely impressed Central Texas Family Karate. My son has been attending for a year now and still loves it. We are enrolled in both the after school and summer camp programs. It has been great for his confidence, social interaction and discipline. Could not recommend more.
My son loved the summer camp! He loved learning karate. I loved the structure and the reinforcement of house rules and respect from Karate too.
Great place for camps when my kids are out of school. Such great skills being taught... from defense to offense, respect, and responsibility. We come back every summer.
This dojo has a great environment and excellent teachers. Scott is very knowledgeable and they even have room for people to throw parties and have functions. It's a great place for the whole family.
Great program for people of all ages! Teaches respect and is a great workout!
Amazing value, instruction, and people!
CTFK is an a terrific program to have your kids in. Respect and discipline are a key tool for children to become successful adults and it is first and forefront in this program. Sensei Bainton and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a fantastic summer camp or after school program check this place out!!
The only place you should learn self defense and martial arts. Master Scott is the real deal. He has been doing it literally all his life. I have never had a Sensei more devoted and dedicated to his profession and his students. He can be hard on them, but that‘a only because he cares so much and wants to see everyone who comes to him succeed. And I mean REALLY succeed. One of the proudest things to me about attending the school for so long was seeing the All-American kids the students grew up to be.
Terrific place for martial arts, instilling discipline, and having fun.!! With an award winning after school program as well as summer program, you can’t beat this Dojo.! Kids are rewarded for their successes and challenged to go even further. I can’t say enough how I’ve seen children come in super rowdy and without respect or self restraint and turn into respectful, future leaders. Highly recommended.!!
There is only one place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Waco Texas. This is that place. Black belt led classes. Good curriculum. Best place to roll in Waco.
This is a wonderful place for children and adults (I took classes as a 23 year old female) to have fun while learning discipline, respect, and self defense skills. The staff is very caring, professional, and organized.
This is a great place to learn Jiu-jitsu because the instructors are great. It is a good workout and the upper belts are always willing to give advice and help you get better. Central Texas Family Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is also a great, fun place to work. Highly recommend this Martial Arts School!
Great instruction, great value. All you need to do is show up. Excellent after school program aswell.
I love the place. Great environment, amazing teachers, and an overall family friendly place. Teaches kid discipline and good values that they will keep with them and apply for the rest of their life, as well as teaching them karate and self defense to make sure they are well equipped for every situation. I have been going for almost a decade now, and let me tell you how happy I am to have decided to go here.
Awesome place to learn jiu-jitsu Machado style. Great instructors and culture. I'll be in a often as possible.
Love this place and all the people! If you're looking for a good summer program or karate program this is the place. They have great structure and discipline, even for the youngest student.
We love everything about CTFK and so does our son. Sensei Bainton and Mrs. Candie are always kind and wiling to help us with anything we need in helping our son thrive physically, academically and respectfully!
Attended birthday bash and as an adult I had a blast!
I love the discipline it instills in my kid, but the communication is TERRIBLE! Apparently the children are expected to be the communicator to the parents. We're on the email list, they have phone #s but our child just told us a VERY important, URGENT piece of info that we should have heard from them. They started out 100% by support, they're down to 60ish%. Raise prices, shrink availability, and other things. Getting pretty irritated.
Was rude to me and my son I do not recommend this place
We were guests at a birthday party at their Robinson location. Let me tell you this place is ratchet and the lady in charge was so unprofessional looking wearing jean short shorts like she was 14 but obviously she was like 50 years old. She literally kicked us out 5 minutes before the party ended yelling out loud to all the guests “thank y’all for coming have a nice day” and pointing to the door everyone was so shocked! I would not in a million years have a party there, you cannot do this to guests it’s not a manner to treat customers or future customers.
Took my money, didn’t give him more then a week before calling me to say my son wasn’t the right fit for their program. I was never told about any issues before then. They refuse to refund any of the money. When I posted a review on Facebook the Sensei had the nerve to reply to my review disclosing private medical information going against Hyppa laws. He was very rude in person as well. Had I met him before signing my son up I would have never done it. That man should absolutely not be around any children. He is going to cause severe psychological damage. Please think before sending your child here especially if they are in any way sensitive. I feel horrible I aloud my son around him.
I hate that place. It is the worst karate place I have been too. The instructors are so mean, they would look at our report cards and if you get a bad grade, they would yell a me (That only our parents job to check our report cards). Don't take your kids there. I repeat don't take your kids there. #angrykid
