Great environment, lots of classes and times avilable to chose, easy flow and friendly environment. Great professors. Classes for kids are also available so considering bringing my 7 year old to start training.
I’ve known Tom for 10 years, and his passion for jiu jitsu has inspired me and hundreds of others to get involved in the sport. I’ve been honored to get to know his athletes and see the character he instills in them. They’re a reflection of excellence. I hope my daughters can have the opportunity to train in his school as they grow up. I recommend any family get involved with Carlson Gracie Temecula.

The team is excellent, top to bottom, starting with Head Professor Tom Cronin. They foster a welcoming environment of detailed learning and healthy competition. The instruction is excellent and the variety of classes and time slots available is awesome!
This is by far the best jiujitsu facility in Riverside county and one of the best in California, which is a hot bed for jiujitsu talent. What makes it truly stand out is the chief instructor Tom Cronin. Tom is a multiple time IBJJF world champion who is devoted to making people better in BJJ. We learned about this school when one of my boys went against one of his kids several years ago and was beaten. The next week we checked out the Carlson Gracie school and haven’t looked back since. If you can’t beat them, join them! And that’s exactly what we did. My twin boys have been under his tutelage since early 2019 and they have made vast progress under his watch, including winning Pan Kids titles and International championships under IBJJF rules. More importantly though, is that Tom works on the development of the traits that make people successful. Determination, overcoming adversity, respect, humility, etc. The youth team consistently places at the top of the heap in local and international competitions. Their adult squad is equally as impressive. You can’t go wrong with this school if you are looking to learn the art of BJJ.
Prof. Tom and his team are awesome They are all very patient and dedicated to the craft of jiu jitsu. There are plenty of class time which makes it very flexible and convenient, and the gym is pretty big so almost in every class you’ll have plenty of space.
So far so good! After a couple months, there is a strong sense of community here. Coach Tom seems great to everyone - especially in the kids classes!
I visited from out of town and was really lucky to find this academy. Everyone was very welcoming. Class was very informative and moved at a pace beginners and advanced could all enjoy.

I was traveling and only in town for a few days so tried out a couple of classes here. I loved that they were so willing to let me borrow a gi AND actually had 7+ women that trained there regularly. Professor Tom’s instruction was incredibly helpful and I’m using some of the things I learned back at my home gym. Will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!
This is a wonderful place to train. Professor Tom and the others welcome everyone and invest in them, too. Facilities are clean and well supplied. There's nothing more you could ask for to begin or continue your Jiu Jitsu journey.
This place is awesome. There is great variety of belt levels that roll here on a consistent basis. Classes every day of the week and all times of the day, not being able to find a class is never an excuse here. Professor Tom, Professor Pedro, and Professor Tino are all class acts and the real deal. Everybody in this gym is helpful, supportive, and challenging. The kids classes are awesome too!
Everyone here is super nice, both professors and students. I mainly went to the women's class, and I immediately started learning, on the first day I knew the basic drills. The adult night classes are also a blast! I had to stop because my school schedule wouldn’t work around this schedule, but they’ve just added more options for classes!
World class instruction and a friendly, positive training atmosphere that cannot be beat. This is the place to train, I couldn’t recommend it more!

This is the number 1 place to take your children for Jiu Jitsu. Professor Tom is amazing and I know this because my brother took his two kids here before I started taking my two children here as well. They are a week into their training and I am very pleased at what I see so far. Last, the instruction at Gracie Jiu Jitsu is the best in the area.
Amazing environment even for the most beginners of beginners. Sensi Tom is great at working with newbies. And everyone else just makes it a great time. Never anticipated how much I'd love learning here.

Great rolls with friendly and respectful people. The atmosphere was inviting, the blackbelts were helpful and attentive. I teach at my local gym, it was great to train at another high quality gym. We will definitely be visiting again!
My son and I started training here recently. It’s been great having jiu jitsu as something we can do together. We often get home and continue practicing what we learned. It’s been a great bonding experience for us. Carlson Gracie has so many classes available. It makes it very convenient because my work schedule is so crazy. Professor Tom, Professor Pedro, and Professor Tino are amazing and very skilled. I think it rubs off on the students. Everyone wants you to succeed. Often times the students will give me pointers. I appreciate it very much being that this is the first time I started training any type of martial arts. I can definitely see the progression in my son and I. Can’t thank the Professors enough.

When we moved to Temecula I wanted the best Jiu Jitsu training for my 9 year old son and we found it at Carlson Gracie Murrieta. The Professor and team are absolutely amazing with the children and teach unparalleled skill and technique. My son just won his first IBJJF championship with the Carlson Gracie Team. Love this Academy.
I can't recommend the team over here enough. We signed my son up back in February and love seeing the progression he's made in such a short time. Professor Tom and his team have been incredible. They're extremely competitive on the circuit, but incredibly patient and attentive with the kids. He makes it fun for the them while they learn the fundamentals and techniques. Definetly check them out if your in the area.

I travel for work and get the opportunity to visit different schools from time to time. This school has been unbelievably welcoming, friendly and professional to my group of coworkers and myself. Tom is one of the most inspirational professors I have ever met at one of the best schools I’ve ever experienced. We're new to the school, but love it so far. Tom and all the coaching staff are down to earth and warm-hearted. The instruction is tailored for kids of all ages, as well as adults. My son and I both train and appreciate the wide range of classes offered. With crazy schedules, we like having options for training.

It's the best decision I ever made for my family. My kids learn a self defense that teaches them humility, humbleness and most of all self confidence. I myself receive camaraderie, physical fitness, mental and spiritual stimulation. I would recommend this place to anybody that's looking for a family friendly environment that strengthens you to be the best person you can be.

Professor Tom Cronin is an amazing instructor and mentor. The academy is clean, spacious and with stacked instructor base of black and brown belts learning is fun and easy to understand. Schedule is very accommodating with multiple times and days of instruction from jiu jitsu, no gi, judo, women’s classes and kids. there’s something for everyone. if your looking for a place to train or even just test the waters this is the place.
Outstanding Jiu Jitsu academy. I highly recommend it for women, teens, and young children. It is a fantastic place to learn Jiu Jitsu, self-defense, and get fit. Professor Tom is amazing and hands-on in all his students' development. The gym is bright, large, clean, and organized. The best part-- when you join CG, you join a family. Hope to see you there!
Tl;Dr: Best bjj school in the area with a huge open mat space and numerous black belts. Stacked schedule including Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, striking that's all included in tuition. Facility: Huge. In industrial building, 2 big white mats that can be divided in half for two classes if needed. Big open space, roll up doors for air, 2 bathrooms, 2 changing rooms, kids play room, relaxation room. 1 striking (hanging) bag, plenty of pads/gloves to borrow. Mats cleaned and mopped by students after classes. There are like 7 black belt professors (more than I had seen on a mat before) that train and help teach here. No egos, super talented, all can lead a class well. If you care about lineage, Tom Cronin is a black belt directly under Master Carlson Gracie Jr., who of course is under Master Carlson Gracie Sr., a legend. Tino is a black belt under Fabio Santos, and Chad is a black belt under Draculino. Guest instructors: We frequently have top level black belts visiting us and hosting seminars Students: No egos, friendly people, but also tough on the mats. Good mix of IBJJF competitors and people that have no desire to compete. A lot of parents, husband wife duos, law enforcement, military, younger people, some full time athletes from Brazil, it's a really big mix. There are a good amount of girls, I think every class has at least 2-3 women, sometimes 8+ OTHER FYI: - This location is west coast Carlson Gracie Headquarters - We have a sister school in Carlson Gracie Wine Country as well if you live more out that way. Just as big location wise and awesome. - Military discount offered - Gi's to borrow there if you need them for your first days - Gi's to purchase there too - If you're new come in workout clothing - Wear whatever gi you want
This is by far the best place to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The team atmosphere is amazing. I felt very welcomed since my first visit. People here train hard and that reflects the high level of jiu jitsu that is taught here. They're serious about the sport and dedicated to helping you achieve your best. World Champion Professor Tom Cronin is highly respected in the community and is one of the highest ranking black belts on the Carlson Gracie team. He not only helps you learn the proper techniques of the game, but also helps get your mental game in order, engineering you into the best person you can be, both on and off the mats. OSSSSS!

Best place to learn/train ju-jitsu in socal hands down. When we moved nacj to CA I asked an old friend & former (MMA) training partner what would be the best school in the area for my youngest son to begin training ju-jitsu. He gave me a very honest answer, if you want a school that is the best place for you child to learn and benefit then Carlson-Gracie Murrieta is where you want him to be, the professor Thomas Cronin is not just a World Champion Black belt but he truly believes i the benefit of all the children at his school. As well since my son began training I have witnessed this 1st hand, how much time, effort & energy that he devotes to his school. He carries himself with a humble confidence and his abilty to relate to each student (all personalities are different) is absoulty amazing. His coaching ability and technical expertise is among the best I have ever seen. The group of coaches that as well dedicate so much of their time is among the absolute best. I as well began to train here as well, and the group of people training here is of a one team on fight mentality, and its awesome. The mentality of the student is often a reflection of the Professor & every student I've encountered here has been a complete professional. I would & do recommend this place for children & adults, you absoulty won't regret it!
This Academy is very friendly and clean and makes you feel welcome. They have students of all ages with several black belts that are very knowledgeable and work to help you have the best experience possible. They teach self-defense, striking & judo as well as Brazilian jujitsu.

This is the second school I have trained in BJJ at, and I highly recommend it to all. The level of commitment from both the instructors and students here is at a level I have never seen before. But that doesn't mean that a more casual student like myself is not welcome. There are no ego's here. Everyone is just here to learn and help one another get better.
Carlson Gracie Temecula is an awesome place to train. No big egos- just people who want to learn and help each other get better. Tons of mat space with friendly and highly knowledgable instructors. Highly recommended if you want a cool place to learn Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu.
I've been a student at Carlson Gracie Temecula for about a month now and it's definitely one of the best gyms that I've trained at. The instructors, Tom (brown belt), Orlando (brown belt), and Tino (black belt) are patient and really good. The atmosphere of the gym is very friendly and family oriented. From day 1 everyone there made me feel like I was a part of the gym and not some outsider new guy. Another big thing for me is that the instructors, and higher belts really care about every student's progression. I will definitely keep training here.
I train here @ Carlson Gracie Academy because I see exceptional instructors here with time to answer your questions. Andre, Orlando, Tino and Tom are true down to earth people that want the students to be proficient in the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Boxing and No Gi Grappling. The Academy now has another World famous Gracie that teaches at the facility, Clark Gracie is at the Academy one day a week, he teaches both Gi and No Gi the mat ispacked with students as well as instructors the training is superb. I was part of another acclaimed MMA gym in the Temecula area, I actually trained at both facilities back to back and found the coaching to be lagging at my original center. In just one week of training at Carlson the attention as well as my questions being answered was a weight of my shoulders thus I improved. Now I am back full time and I love it. Anyone who is interested in this discipline should come in train and see how positive this Academy is, the children and young adults programs are geared with the same philosophy and dedication. Come and train you will not be let down.

This school is very dedicated to its students, and does a great job of inspiring and pushing students to succeed. There are several black belts that frequent the gym and teach various styles and techniques, so your training is never the same old same old. The school is run by two very down to earth people, who are also great teachers in their own respect. I have been attending Class at Carlson Gracie for about 8 months now, coming in as a rookie never having any martial arts training, the coaching staff worked very patiently with me and have helped me learn tremendously. Training in both Muy thai and Jujitsu I have found new found confidence. The class environment is friendly and everyone works together to better on another. I highly recommend this school for any level of fighter, the teaching is world class.

I was training at another place, and i thought the training was awesome until i attended one of Carlson gracie's in temecula classes. It blew my mind! The school i was attending people were not as dedicated to the school as i was, i wanted to be the best, and somedays we would come in and people would be like "can we just hang out, its a monday i dont want to train!".. Carlsons students want to train, the students want to drill, the students want to make you better.somedays i come in on the morning and get a 1on1 training with a blackbelt!
