I am very grateful to the professor and the team for being so welcoming at their excellent facility (best I have ever seen). Precise, patient instruction, challenging rolls, and everyone respectful, disciplined, and tough! Really enjoyed training there and cannot speak highly enough of the team. Looking forward to returning again one day.

If you want to learn Jiu-Jitsu effectively, I can’t think of a better place. It’s the best teaching style I’ve experienced across all the gyms I’ve visited. Professor Romulo is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and delivers clear, practical instruction. We were looking for a sport or activity for my 3 year old and was recommended to try out Carlson Gracie Henderson. Everyone is beyond nice and the facility is amazing. I am blown away about how little pressure there was to sign up and the owners made sure my son really enjoyed it before having us sign up. They recently started a new 3-5 year old group and the instructor, Tiffany, is fantastic. She has the perfect sense of humor and demeanor to deal with wild toddlers. We are already big fans of Carlson Gracie and are so happy we found them.

First off, they held me down and tried to strangle me. One man even used his own bathrobe in attempt to end my life. I fought for my life for almost 2 hours to only be given enough breaks to remember what oxygen was and the hopes of getting more. There were small children cheering on the adults as they tried to remove limbs from my body and I had flash backs from watching gladiator. I tried to voice my concern to the professor but he simply ask me if I wanted to be pretty or be good at jujitsu. I will be back every day !!!

Moved my daughter from another form of martial arts (we just didn't see the value and didn't feel she was genuinely learning to protect herself) and I am so thankful that we did! My husband and I both jumped in, as well as my best friend and her whole family, and we're all big fans. The owners and coaches are welcoming and the facility is clean and beautiful! Can't recommend it enough

I joined Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Henderson a week ago. Everyone there is super nice and helpful to new students who are learning. The classes are tough, but the people throughout all belt levels are very encouraging and understanding of what it means to be new and have a bunch of stuff thrown at you. Professor Romulo is a very skilled black belt and an excellent teacher. He has a great lineage and many competition medals. He definitely knows what he’s doing. The facility itself is very nice and looks brand new. Professor Romulo keeps it very clean. Being a student at Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu makes me feel like I’m part of a family. There is a very positive atmosphere there and I highly recommend anyone who is interested in learning BJJ to come into a class and check it out for themselves. They have several Gi and No Gi classes as well as children’s and women’s classes throughout the week to fit any schedule. The first week is free, first month is $100, then after that I believe it’s $125 per month after that or they offer smaller packages of 5 and 10 classes. Come and join us!

A late review, I came here on March while visiting my brother in Henderson. I loved the academy here, everyone is friendly, skilled and a great place to train. If I ever move to this area, this would be my first choice to train at. The professor here is a great guy and very welcoming; I highly recommend anyone in the Nevada area to join this or people like me who are out of state stop by for a visit.

I’m from AZ and came to visit family for the holidays. I really didn’t want to miss out on any training and reached out via email to train. I was able to go to the 6am class to train and everyone was very welcoming. I learned a lot from Professor Romulo and got some good rolls in as well. If you live in the area and want to learn BJJ, I’d definitely recommend this school!

LOVE IT! It is a clean, light energy, family feel kind of place. Moms, dads and children practice and cheer each other up. The owners are true good hearted people, running a professional business, with awesome teachers and a super friendly atmosphere. It was my little one's (3, 1/2 yo) first experience learning to take turns, to listen to another authority figure, to respect, to stay in line, to socialize, to shake hands, etc. He was welcomed with understanding of his age requirements (such as a typical 3 year old short attention spam, need for breaks, and a fun way of learning). He consistently wants to go, loves his teachers, and has made much progress. I recommend it to anyone trying to find a positive activity for their children.
