  • I was in Boston for work and reached out to Johnny about dropping in for a monday morning class. He was responsive, welcoming and got everything sorted out for me right away. Location is definitely a hidden gem, great space to work. Very clean, mats were like new. Professor Levi was very welcoming and his teaching approach was amazing... Obviously a very talented and competent practitioner. I enjoyed being a guest at BTT Back Bay immensely and 10/10 would recommend. Look forward to coming back next time I am in town!

  • I recently visited Brazilian Top Team in Backbay, Boston, during a trip to the USA, and it was a fantastic experience. As someone who runs a martial arts academy, I've seen a lot of gyms, but the vibe here was different. Professor Levi and the students made me feel right at home. The gym culture is top-notch, making my visit truly enjoyable. I'm grateful to Levi for sharing his expertise. If you're thinking about trying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this is the place to start. The team here is legendary. Highly recommended! - Rodney Parkes, Head Instructor/Owner, West Coast Academy of Martial Arts, Perth Western Australia

  • I joined to try a new sport and stayed for the community. Everyone is so nice and welcoming here! The female community is also strong and empowering, my favorite part. It’s a great place if you’re new because the professors are very patient and encouraging. Happy to be part of a great team!

  • Had my first beginners class last week, and it was amazing. Everyone was really nice in the class. It was a mix of beginners and advanced, which is in my mind the best way how to learn. Levi was very good at explaining the moves and the technique so it was easy to follow and practice afterwards with your team mate. If it is your first time trying jiu jitsu no need to worry about the clothing/equipment as they will have a Gi ready for you to practice in, when you arrive. The place is a little smaller but still enough to do the drills.

  • Wonderful instructors who are both knowledgeable and caring. They want to see you improve and grow and have the expertise to help you do it. Teammates are also great, the culture is very encouraging and people really help each other. Small class size means you get very personal instruction from the teacher during each. class. Highly recommend!
