    One of the best Jiu-jitsu academies that I've trained at. David and Samantha are both amazing instructors!!! And all of the members are great!!! Great training partners and awesome community... everyone is like family!!! Definitely a great environment to train at and learn the art of jiu-jitsu with my kids.

    Outstanding Jiu Jitsu Experience for All Ages! I can’t say enough good things about Big Break Jiu Jitsu in Oakley! Both my kids and I have been training here, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The kids’ program is fantastic—my children have gained confidence, discipline, and self-defense skills while having a blast in a supportive environment. The instructors are patient and engaging, making each class fun and educational. As for the adults’ program, it’s equally impressive. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help, whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I've made great friends while improving my skills. If you’re looking for a place that offers top-notch training and a community feel, Big Break Jiu Jitsu is the spot! Highly recommend!

    I’ve trained at many places and this place is an absolute hidden gem. Where else can you go where there’s a husband/wife duo that are both black belts. It’s the best of both worlds. The technique is easy to understand and myself, being on the smaller size female, had Sam, who helped me “get heavy”. I love how they’re focused on the safety of the students and require a “check in” before attending your first class. I do not live in the area but will make it a point to stop in every chance I get! Thank you for the hospitality!
