TheHitLab.MMA Rated this Gym 10 🌟 Great Job Danny!!!
Great place for your kids to learn
Awesome staff and members. Would recommend to everyone.
I couldn't be happier with my experience with Bang Gym. My kids have been going here for about four months now and I have seen great things from them. When my kids first started they were very quiet and shy, and they both had very low self confidence. Since starting classes both the MMA class and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class I have seen their confidence levels increase exponentially. The instructors Danny, Will, and Mr. Fisher are great role models for the kids. They are all very professional and great with the kids. When you see them working with the kids you can tell that they truly have a heart for helping them. While the focal point of the classes are to learn self defense the kids are also learning self control, discipline, and building confidence. The instructors always providing a positive atmosphere and are always encouraging the kids to bring in their report cards to praise their accomplishments. They let the kids know to never tell themselves that they can't accomplish something, but to continue trying. I would recommend Bang Gym to anyone looking for a great family gym.
My son received his black belt from this gym. He was getting bullied and we had enough. This gym helped make my son stronger and showed him respect. I highly recommend this place.
Danny and kim are both awesome. They support great causes in the community. They are wonderful child advocates and teach an amazing anti-bullying class. You cant do any better then these two. I would be proud to send people their way. They will not have your kids do anything their own kids wouldn't do. They treat your kids with respect and are very patient. I would give 10 stars if possible!
I dont believe in using intimidation to help children learn and would never allow it. My 2 kids (8&10) attended there for 6 months. My son who is 8 is overweight, had a really hard time with focus and follow through. Danny was amazing with him. Dannys daughters also help to cheer the kids on and give them confidence. Danny has a way of keeping the kids interested and still wanting to learn, even when it's hard. Both of my kids have cried and pushed through it during class... which makes them stronger. They are learning self discipline. They've never felt intimidated or bullied. My kids love and respect Danny. Martial arts isn't easy to learn and not ALWAYS going to be fun. My kids both grew stronger in many ways. My son mostly...he lost some weight, gained some muscle, some upper body strength, along with confidence and knowing how to push through his psycical and mental barriers. My daughter loves to be challenged so she always did great there. My son was the challenging one who really needed this the most. Unfortunately, We moved and aren't rite next door anymore.
Love, love, love this gym! Mr Danny and Mr Will do a great job with the little ones as well as the older kids. Lil dragons teaches kids to follow instructions and show respect. If children continually act up over and over, they’ll find themselves doing push ups! I appreciate that they won’t let one child take time away from those obeying. Victory class introduces martial arts, and self defense. It’s a holistic, discipled approach that children need. My kids all love it!
Best got dran gym in the south ps bang for bullies help the kids
We have been coming here for about 8 months and cannot recommend this gym enough! We started with one child attending class, then our second son joined, then the third, and lastly my daughter! The atmosphere is very family oriented and encouraging. I love how the kids cheer each other on and support each other! They have made many friends in the class. The instructors are patient, effective, and really take the time to work with each child one-on-one as needed. They ask the kids how their school day went, encourage them to bring in their report cards, and celebrate their accomplishments. They teach character and self-control as much as they teach martial arts. The impact they have made on my boys is incredible! Each of my sons have very different personalities—one is timid and hesitant to try new things, one is wild and energetic, one is serious and reserved—but they ALL love the classes and feel comfortable here. As a mom, that is very important to me! The place is clean, safe, and very welcoming and they make you feel like part of a family. I highly recommend Bang gym!
Very disciplined, clean, and great for the whole family! Friendly and helpful instructors, you learn a lot just from watching the classes. Best gym in town.
Big dans bang gym is a great family gym,and it is a great place to take your kids to defend them self from being bullied.I go there almost every week and every time I do they help me so much.
This is a really great gym I train there and I love it all of the instructors are amazing people they are always helping all of the kids in all of the classes
I have been training here for years on and off and they've always been so open and welcoming to me. Very professional staff. Pro fighter and owner Danny Shell is a no nonsense instructor and doesn't tolerate bullying. He is also very charismatic about the people he trains and the team he leads. Mr Fisher is still doing the jiu jitsu classes and is a top of the line instructor who holds a brown belt in Machado style Brazilian jiu jitsu and several other black belts in other styles of traditional martial arts as well. Very friendly environment, would recommend bringing the family and friends to check it out if you're interested in being in shape and learning how to defend yourself.
My five year old son was recently attending the classes at Big Bang Gym. Tuesday 12/04/2018 I felt like Danny Shell was picking on my son the whole 30 minutes of class. He had to do push-ups for everything he did wrong. Of course my son is clumsy there was two times were he tripped over his foot and fell, my son had to do five push-ups for that. Leaning on the cage, he had to do five push-ups for that. Danny was getting on to him for something else and my son automatically got on the floor about to do push-ups and Danny got in his face fussing at him, "Saying this is not your gym you do not do what you want to do, this is my gym and I will tell you what to do" after that he made him do 5 more push-ups. When they were going through their drills my son did his kick wrong Danny was talking to him some people walked in my son looked towards the door (nature instinct to look when someone enters the room) Danny was in his face fussing about that telling him to look at him when he is speaking to him and made him run about five laps around the gym. Yes I was frustrated and the parent next to me asked if I was okay I told her I am trying to be patient but I feel like he was picking on my son and she agreed that he was. Because another student (little girl) fell and when she fell he laughed stating awww you just too cute to do push-ups. After class Danny walked up to me and asked if I was okay I told him no I felt like he was picking on my son the whole class he only focused on him and when the little girl fell he told her that she was too cute to do push-ups. I also told him that all kids should be treated equal he laughed at me and walked away. Five minutes later he walked up to me and asked if I wanted out of my contract I told him yes. So he wrote VOID on my contract and threw it in the trash and stated this is an anti-bullying class and I called him a Bully in front of every one. He then opened the door and told me to leave. In the midst of him lying like I called him a Bully the parents beside me had a shock look on their face. Like I never called you a Bully, I simply stated that I FELT like you were picking on my son. Overall I think Danny is very unprofessional and has anger issues. Instead of him talking to me like and adult and stating he apologize about me feeling the way that I felt, he automatically jumped into anger mode and wanted to kick me out the class. The place is not clean and it smells. I also felt like it really wasn't a martial art class. To me it is a physical education class where the kids do a couple of drills and run around and play for 30 minutes. It is not worth the money at all!!! And the only reason why I gave this a one star is bc I had to in order to write this review!!!
