I've been coming to BeltQuest for almost two years. Great school and people. Our instructor Bo is still studying the new methods and techniques and passing that along to us. The other students are very patient and helpful, willing to take the time to work through and explain moves with me. I've learned and grown a lot here, and I'll continue coming back!

My six year old son and daughter have been coming here for about a month now. They both love the classes and the instructors. We have tried a few places prior to finding BeltQuest but were never happy. Too many kids or classes were too short...at BeltQuest the kids are being challenged, they are learning a lot and the classes are small and one hour long. That gives plenty of time for a good warm up and really gives the kids a chance to practice what they are learning. Very happy we found BeltQuest!

Coach Bo fosters a great environment for the kids. Not only do they learn to defend themselves through Jiu Jitsu, but Bo also instills self confidence, awareness and respect for one another in his classes. We started out with our 6 year old at Belt Quest, but soon our 12 ur old joined after attending some of his brothers classes. They really enjoy it.

As a 62 years old Health and Physical education teacher for over 30 years, I was looking for a training regimen that would take me out of my comfort zone. I am extremely satisfied in having joined BeltQuest Jiu Jitsu. I highly recommend BeltQuest and teacher Bo. From the first day I felt comfortable, Bo is extremely knowledgeable of his craft, the breakdown of his lessons are precise and easy to practice. The control training and leave your ego at the door philosophy is highly stressed. I have joined BeltQuest in March 2019, no previous experience, my gains mentally and physical have improved on a regular basis. Great school for young and old, expert or novice.

We are entering our 5th month of private jiujitsu lessons for our almost 5 year old son. He can be a little shy, we struggle with some attention as well as multi step direction following. Coach Bo is so patient, creative methods for keeping him engaged and strict enough to get him to finish the task and class. Enforces eye contact and is teaching our son respect for the mat. As parents, we could not be more thankful to have come across coach Bo and BeltQuest.

My 10 year old son has tried other martial arts but has never found the right fit till now. The owner Bo has been a patient and supportive teacher and pushes just enough. Bo has tailored the lessons to fit my son’s needs and learning style. We have seen an improvement in his overall strength and confidence in a short time. Our son looks forward to his sessions even though it can be challenging. I highly recommend this school to the beginner who is curious about Jui Jitsu and wants to learn from an excellent teacher.

I think this is a good way to help people dealing with depression/mental problems who are trying to get out of their head and get in shape. It toughens you up and definitely beats working out alone. The exercise is intense but also fun and for a flat rate you can go to up to 11 sessions per week depending on your schedule.

I have 3 boys who have now become part of the family. My oldest is 12 and the class has helped him tremendously with his self confidence and self control to deal with problems in school. I have a set of twins at the age of 8 and they absolutely love the class! In fact they come home after class to show us what they learned it. The class had such of positive effect on my boys that I 34 years old decided to join the adults class. “Bo” is patient to break down techniques and help the class to progress. My boys and I have been training for over 2 months now. Thanks “BO” for your expertise, professionalism and respect!

I have been training at BeltQuest with Bo for about 6 months now, and I cannot speak highly enough of him and the gym. My short review is that if you want to learn Jiu-Jitsu, then I would strongly recommend you check this place out! The classes are big enough that you always have someone to practice with, though every once and awhile you do luck out and get a free unscheduled private which is amazing! At the same time, the classes are small enough still that you get more individualized attention and corrections than you will find anywhere else and that makes all the difference if you want to progress effectively. Likewise, Bo specializes in BJJ. He isn’t a great karate guy that also does BJJ, with Bo BJJ is his specialization. This makes a massive difference in learning the art, not to knock other schools, but close attention from a black belt in the art is amazing for your own personal progression! In addition to Bo, all the other guys and girls at the gym are also great. Everyone will push you to grow but never seek to crush you! I can honestly say that I am closer to some of the guys I have met at BeltQuest than with some of the guys I have been working with for over 10 years. Then when you see the price, which is more than fair, it becomes a no brainer for anyone in the area that wants a friendly place to train.

BeltQuest Jiu Jitsu is great!! The instructor is patient and down to earth and brings out the best in each person. The environment is definitely friendly, fun, intensive when training but most of all beneficial to the practitioner. Coach Bo is also very engaging on the mats and tailors jui jitsu to the individual ( based on your body awareness and mobility) as you grow and develop. I'm just a two stripe white belt and love jui jitsu because of BQJJ. #BJJFOREVER

I joined BeltQuest without any experience and have learned so much in just four short months. The head instructor, Bo is very knowledgeable and makes a sport with many minor details easy to understand and retain. He is also a respectable business owner and keeps the gym very clean. Whether you are a beginner or experienced in BJJ, do not hesitate and give Beltquest a shot!!

I’m just a 33 year-old dude with absolutely no martial arts experience, until I went to Belt Quest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Bo’s patience and attention to detail are perfect for beginners, like me, or experienced competitors looking to hone their skills. Bo makes even the most inexperienced students (me) feel welcome while keeping all his students engaged. If you’re looking to learn the art of the jits, look no further, my friend. Take it from this white belt holding on for dear life, Bo is the way to go.

My six-year-old son has been taking Jujitsu lessons for about 2 months I already see a difference in his physical ability and his concentration. Bo makes the class fun and breaks down techniques with patience to a six-year-old level. My son is always excited to go to class. I highly recommend Beltquest Jiu-Jitsu for any child trying to gain confidence and physical skill.

Bo is truly an excellent BJJ instructor and gym owner. He goes beyond technique to explain the concepts of BJJ, not just “moves”. The lessons (and the students) are inspiring, not intimidating. Plus, the vibe is good here and the mats are pristine...I’m loving it so far.

Scheduled a private lesson at BeltQuest and had a great lesson. Bo is a patient and excellent instructor. I wanted to work on passing open guard and Bo provided multiple techniques to implement. We drilled each one until I mastered the concept and then utilized them in live rolls. I have noticed a significant impacted my guard passing since this private lesson. I highly recommend BeltQuest to anyone that needs to learn the fundelmentals or who want to build on their existing game. His private lessons are detail oriented and over deliver on value. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

Bo Walaszek is one of the best BJJ instructors I know. His unique perspectives and positive attitude are for sure to benefit a beginner or seasoned Jiu Jitsu practitioner. I would highly recommend his academy to anyone looking to learn, improve, and have a great time training in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu .

BeltQuest Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in West Orange. Their owner and head instructor is friendly and inviting to new comers while also bringing great technique to more experienced students. The academy is clean and the mats are brand new. It's a great environment for children as well as adults. I have been training for over 10 years and Belt Quest Jiu Jitsu is one of my favorite places to train.

I've been training in martial arts all of my life as a hobby, as well as competitively for over 15 years, and Bo Walaszek is hands down one of the best instructors I've ever had. He tailors his instruction to each student in order to allow for fast independent growth. His instruction style and facility is family friendly allowing for a stress free environment, while picking up some incredible martial arts skills. I highly recommend joining! You won't regret it!

This is a clean no frills martial art academy located in North New Jersey that specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Bo the head instructor is a patient and detail oriented teacher. His fine attention to the little things is what set this dojo and his instruction apart from the others. Get in, warm up, go over the Science of a technique, its entry and transition, drill, and apply it against live energy and resistance in live rolls (safe, but real sparring). If you're looking for a martial art gym that's based on fantasy and just larp around, this is not the place. If you want to get fit and learn to fight like a shark on the ground, BeltQuest Jiu-Jitsu is the place to be!
