We love BE Martial Arts! 3 of our children attend classes there ages ranging from 4-7 as well as participating in adult class myself. All the kids take great pride in their classes and understand responsibility and respect in a whole new level after attending. They are also more confident in their day to day lives as well as in activities and social settings. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a social activity for their kids that provides structure and expectations while teaching valueable life skills and traits they will take with them all their lives.
You will see the difference in your child's attitude and confidence. They have fun, build their skills, meet new friends, and build their character.

I have been studying tai chi with Mr. Bowman for 3 years and he is a very knowledgeable and skilled teacher. He is always willing to share and explain the forms or postures. My balance and breathing have improved greatly. I’m very happy to have found BE Martial Arts.

We have two kids that attend classes weekly and we LOVE it here. I love how all the kids interact with each other and are willing to help/lead when needed. It’s not just a class either. There are real life examples of safety and topics that are applied to our daily life. The instructors and staff are kind and take the time to explain everything right down to the nitty-gritty of the forms. They teach the parents how to hold the boards so you can safely and correctly help your kids outside of class. We are so happy to have discovered this gem.
This is a great place to learn self-defense, taekwondo, and leader ship skills. If you are a shy person like I was, this will help you learn more self confidence within your self. We would love to see you there come check us out.
Mr. Bowman cares about his students, teaches in a way that everyone can succeed. My son started 6 months ago and I can't believe the changes in him, he's gone from shy to looking an adult he's never met, straight in the eye and introducing himself. Great program highly recommend, 10 stars if it were available!
BE Martial Arts is an excellent place for kids to learn Martial Arts. We relocated from Atlanta, GA to Mequon, WI in Late 2017. We were looking to start our daughter back in the Karate program. She was learning Karate in Atlanta. In 3 months in BE Martial arts, she has improved much more than what she learnt in a year period in Atlanta. Mr. Bowman is an excellent coach and his style of coaching connects with kids very easily. I would recommend this facility to anyone interested in martial arts.
A great facility and great instruction!! Mr. Bowman is excellent with kids and there are students at all ages with a wide range of skill levels. The instructors have versatile experience, skills and knowledge making it great for adults just starting out as well as those with advanced training. Excellent place for those seeking to improve general fitness or build some self-defense skills. The kids curriculum is great and has good structure, but is also fun and engaging for the kids. Mr. Bowman runs a tight ship and keeps parents in the know!
Mr. Bowman is a skilled and passionate instructor for both kids and adults. He has trained in several types of martial arts, and is very knowledgeable and approachable. Highly recommended!
In my opinion, based on decades of martial arts training abroad and in the USA, this is a most highly commercialized establishment, requiring students/parents to purchase an expensive series of items on an ongoing basis...extra uniforms, plastic toy weapons, protective gear only from their own commercial brand, belts, testing fees, on and on. Also of profound concern to me is the frequent absence or tardiness of the instructor, leaving unsupervised junior staff to run the classes. Thus, the classes seem more like pass times or activities, rather than inspiring martial arts. Also peculiar, is the staff wearing uniforms displaying bold titles such as WORLD CHAMPION, REGIONAL CHAMPION, STATE CHAMPION, etc. In my humble opinion, this is not a place for my family to train and learn. Update: We did schedule a few meetings to personally ask why Bowman was absent from teaching so often, or distracted with other business while in the building...with no acceptable replacements. I affirmed that we had paid for him to teach, and because of his absences, students did not receive the paid services as promised. Every time we were assured that the absenteeism would be corrected...it was not, so we gladly left this place.
