Awesome BJJ gym. I loved the culture of the gym, a lot of focus on technique with an emphasis on wrestling. Definitely the best gym to train at in the Baltimore area

This is my home away from home! All of the instructors are some of the best people I've ever had the privilege to meet. The most welcoming environment I've ever stepped into and all of the students are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend anybody interested in BJJ to come and check it out!

My son had showed an interest in returning to martial arts more specifically Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. While we live within walking distance of a school something intrigued me about Baltimore BJJ. I signed him up for the two week trial and after the first class he couldn’t stop talking about it. There is a family f el to this school that creates a very welcoming and supportive environment. All of the instructors are phenomenal. I can’t stress enough how my son has benefited from Baltimore BJJ. He’s more confident, he has less anxiety, he has gotten into better shape and is even trying out for High School Sports this year! I can’t recommend Baltimore BJJ enough!!!

This place is the absolute best!! The owner to the instructors to the students! All as friendly as can be! They took my son in and got started right away!! The kids help each other in every way possible to make them stronger and prepared!! I have nothing but great things to say about this place!! UPDATE: My husband joined too and absolutely loves it!!

Sounds silly but I was a little nervous about the idea of showing my vulnerability in a room full of people, especially all people of my own kind. Lol. We tend to feel like we’re going to be judge by other females. However, the all Women’s Self-Defense Seminar is so fantastic! Rob & Jen make you feel extremely comfortable while teaching you skills that you can take with you. 100% I would set your feelings aside and just do it. It was fun. We laughed. We learned. We bonded. Good times! Thank you!!

Amazing place to train. Staff is super knowledgeable and the facilities are very clean. A fraction of the cost of other area gyms by top quality coaching staff

Great environment, great instruction, and great people. Everyone genuinely cares about your progress and safety and students range from hobbyists to tough competitors. There is a place for everyone at Baltimore BJJ. Being one of the original jiu jitsu schools of Baltimore they have nearly a dozen black belt instructors and do not make you bow to Helio or wear only a white gi. Also offers weight training, kick boxing and wrestling. Drop-ins welcome anytime

Me and my boyfriend (blue and black belt respectively) trained here for almost a year while I was completing my masters and I have to say this place is a gem. The training is tough while still being a safe environment, the gym is nice, the prices are great and most of all the people are kind. There's a community of people in this gym who genuinely welcome newcomers and root for each individuals success. People in the gym genuinely care for each other and as the sign in the back says, leave their ego at the door (and off the mat). Also, the yoga class (as well as the fantastic instructor Kristi) is great and the flow definitely complements your BJJ game. This place is a 10/10 and if I had to do my time in Baltimore all over I would choose this place every time.

Both of my sons have been training in this dojo for 4.5 years, having won multiple awards at Newbreeed and Naga competitions. If you are looking for the best Jiu-Jitsu experts in the Mid-Atlantic states, choose Baltimore BJJ.

I have visited Baltimore BJJ several times while visiting with family in the region. I have always had great experiences with everyone I have met and rolled with there, the team is very respectful and welcoming which in my opinion is a sign of a great gym culture. I recommend this place to everyone I know who will be in the area. If the gym does have a downside it's a lack of water fountain, don't forget your water bottle.

Ok, I'm editing this review to say that BBJJ has done wonders for my daughters confidence. The instructors are patient and make learning BJJ fun. My daughter is still an introvert, but here, shes made friends AND is learning how to defend herself, which is important in this day and area. I will never hesitate to recommend BBJJ to anyone.

I love the BBJ style i been into a lot street fights , play fights but the style of BBJ is very deadly and lethal . I recommend this to any martial artist but i couldnt do it cause im homophobic i dont like the fact that they grab each other in the genitals its too much for me i enjoy basketball. I respect this craft a lot but its not for me.

Great gym! Wonderful instructors, low key atmosphere, friendly members, and nice facilities (clean, large mat space, multiple bathrooms, showers). Good schedule of classes too.
