I first went to take my stepson to enroll. Looked like fun so I joined too. Not only was it a great bonding experience for him and I but it’s an excellent exercise, a great skillset to learn and has forged friendships I’ll have for life. I can’t recommend it enough

Kid-Friendly Environment! My child absolutely loves training here! Professor Bryan and his team are fantastic with kids, making learning jiu-jitsu fun and engaging. The academy is a safe and supportive space for children to develop both physically and mentally.

Professor Bryan is a gentle and firm instructor. My 9yo son has attended several classes and I like how they focus on a few key moves per class. They also explain why and how the moves are done. They introduce the kids to competition and how certain moves earns points. There are about 14-18 kids who attend regularly in a small studio but they make it work well and somehow get the kids to focus and practice with each other. There is limited seating for parents inside but you can watch from the outside the windows, but not a big deal. It is reasonably priced compared to other sports my kid has tried. It is a clean studio that doesn't smell like a gym, another plus:) some of the parents also train here which speaks to the quality of the training. I highly recommend this place!

Great local locally owned business. We have a few folks from the shops that come here and love it. Clean environment and kid friendly.

I have been a member of ASF for several years and it has always been a great experience. Going into the gym is like getting together with great friends, but learning a great skill at the same time. It feels like a big family. I am 48 years old and you have adults of all ages in the classes, which presents great opportunities to learn and practice regardless of your skill level. You will learn something every class and Professor Bryan is a very effective instructor. If you're thinking of learning Jiu Jitsu this is the place. The effective knowledge, respect, and camaraderie is second to none.

Professor Bryan’s depth of knowledge in jiu jitsu is unparalleled. His precise explanations and demonstrations make complex techniques easy to understand and practice. I always leave the academy feeling more knowledgeable and confident in my skills.

Joining Professor Bryan's jiu-jitsu academy has been transformative for both my son and me. Not only is the atmosphere welcoming and the instruction top-notch, but the impact on our lives has been profound. My son has become noticeably more disciplined and focused since starting classes here, thanks to Professor Bryan's guidance and the positive environment. Witnessing his growth intrigued me, and I decided to join as well. The supportive community, coupled with Professor Bryan's empathetic teaching style, has made our journey into jiu-jitsu truly rewarding. It's more than just a place to train; it's a place where families grow stronger together.

High-quality instruction most classes black belt taught. Offers jiu jitsu MMA kids and women's classes. Morning noon and evening classes fit most schedules, and most importantly, when you join, you're joining a family!

Good family environment. No ego issues as everyone helps each other out. Bryan's knowledge and teaching ability is some of the best around. Love the ASF family.

This is a great school for both children and adults. The people are warm and friendly and it feels like family. Nobody has that extreme personality so often found in martial arts training facilities. The instructor is super knowledgeable and helpful. He not only knows how to do but he knows how to teach. Definitely "THE" place to train in Austin!

Austin Submission Fighting is a family. I'm a better person every time I leave this place. It's a martial arts school, but that doesn't really begin to describe it. ASF is a support system. It's a place for encouragement and growth; a place to be challenged, and succeed. It's therapy when times are stressful. It's the perfect place to build confidence, and learn to say "I can." Come be a part of our family, and find out why we're always smiling in our pictures.

Love it here. My kids (4 and 6) are excited every day to come and learn new techniques in defending themselves and have fun doing it, Master Evans is great with them. I'm glad I went with ju-jitsu for my kids extracurricular activity.
