Our 3 kids (9, 12, & 14) had their first class yesterday and LOVED it (even the one who wasn't excited about doing it at all). Great coaches. Lots of positive reinforcement and you can see the students are happy to be there.

Definitely come here! I have tried many BJJ gyms around WA and the world and professor Noa is a great teacher. He is incredibly skilled at jiu jitsu and the techniques and details he teachers are impressive. When I talk about what we are learning, people are surprised by the level of technique. I have learned a lot and enjoy the community of the gym as well! Hope to see more people on the mats!

Although I was only here for a short period (traveling for work), I truly enjoyed my time at Legend Jiu Jitsu. Coach Noa, and the rest of the coaching staff, does a great job at helping everyone there by making them feel noticed. I've been to many gyms in the past where you kind of just blend in and don't get the help or attention you want to improve your game but not here. The coaches have a lot of knowledge to share for all belt levels, and you can expect to get a lot of great rolls in. My favorite part of it all is that everyone here is super friendly which made it a fun and safe learning environment. I'd highly recommend if you're in the area.

Would never want to go anywhere else ... to get a beating. Jokes aside, very intense, and very educational. Am looking forward to my journey in BJJ and am glad to be under the guidance of Prof. Noa and the rest of the team.

Proffosor Noah is a great gym owner and athlete. Same goes for professor Vic. This location truly lives up to the Atos name. Tacoma is really lucky to have a world class gym like this. Love coming here when I am in town. Thank you guys for all the lessons!

I had been visiting from California and was looking for an academy to train at during my stay in Washington. I have to say, I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to train at Atos Tacoma. The culture of the school was immediately felt. The people were so inviting, encouraging toward one another, and so hospitable toward me. They emphasize technique over brute strength, which I love. The techniques that were taught that day were taught so well and with crucial detail, and for someone who easily forgets the technique of the day unless drilled repeatedly, I can still remember and implement effectively. I definitely would love to return when I visit again. If you’re looking for a school to train jiu jitsu, I highly recommend this one! Thank you, Atos Tacoma!!

I moved to Washington State in January of 2023 from Los Angeles Ca and I was itching to find a new place to train and hopefully call my home. I've been training for a lil over 7 years now and I've been around a few jiu jitsu academies. I'm very fortunate to have trained under schools that nourish a positive environment and promote growth both on the individual level and of course on the jiu jitsu level. I am very confident and happy to say that I've found that nourishing environment here at Legend Jiu Jitsu of Tacoma (an affiliate of Atos). If you are familiar with top bjj schools then you already should be familiar with the name Atos, as they've produced top ranked world champions. Prof Noa and Prof Vic are two of the most fundamentally sound and technical jiu jitsu black belts that I've ever experienced. You can tell that their style is suitable for everyone and if you are looking to grow your jiu jitsu game or are curious to see what it is all about, these two gentlemen would be the perfect teachers to start you on your journey. Coach Ben, (may look intimidating when you see him) but he is genuinely one of the nicest humans I have ever met. He is also very fundamentally sound and he teaches the morning classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. He is a sponge that is capable of absorbing all of what Prof Noa teaches and he is able to re-teach and demonstrate those sound techniques in the morning class. I should say that I am currently a purple belt, and I am confident my jiu jitsu journey and practice will grow exponentially from training here. All of the students at this academy whether they are white belts to black belts are ego-less and that is what you want in a jiu jitsu school.

I had been wanting to start training BJJ for a while, and I'm glad I found this place at the beginning of the year. It felt like home right away. I did the trial class and signed up the next day. Everyone is so welcoming to beginners and we all just want to help one another improve. Professor Noa harvests a great culture and is extremely knowledgable and friendly. If you're thinking about starting your BJJ journey, do it now! It's a challenge, but it's totally worth it. Atos Tacoma is the place to be. 🤙🏻

Great environment and coaching for beginners with a tons of additional students with higher belts always willing to teach and help newbies to the sport like me. There are a ton of classes all through the week at different times. Professor Noah is a great athlete, mentor, and true martial artist who dedicated his life to the craft which shows in his classes. Dropped in for Open Mat and received an island🤙🏼 and warm welcome by Professor Noa and the Atos/Legend Team. Professor Noa was gracious enough and open to provide instruction on techniques in-between rounds and I could clearly feel his passion for the martial art and his exceptional teaching ability. If you’re in the Tacoma/Fircrest/UP area, Atos Legend is the best school to learn and practice Brazilian jiu jitsu. We are so happy to practice jiu jitsu here. My children love the kids classes and the teens class, my husband loves the variety of options for his classes (6am and noon) and I am thankful they have women’s class and evening classes. The facility is very clean, and the location inside of University Place CrossFit is super convenient. The instructors are extremely well trained, experienced and professional and I’m really happy I decided to start jiu jitsu. I was a little intimidated at first to start a very high intensity contact sport but all the other students are so nice and helpful, I feel very safe here and have made a lot of new friends. If you’re on the fence, try it!!

I’m spending a few days in Tacoma traveling and wanted to get some training in. Still very new to Jiu Jitsu (4/5 months) and this was a great gym. If you’re newer to jiu jitsu or looking for a good environment where you can get some good looks, but not have anyone try and blow your knee up, I would recommend this place. Thanks to Noah for the instruction and for the legends students for making me feel welcome and helping me grow in my practice. Cheers!

I’m training from a neighbor school, and just did one visitor class on my lunch time, the place is not huge, but it’s beautiful and neat, professor Noa is full of knowledge and welcomes everyone…friendly environment, highly recommended!

Professor Noa is an amazing BJJ Practitioner, Teacher, and Father. He is a great role model for students of all ages in the humility and dedication to his craft that he shows. I have trained BJJ for 12 years and I am currently a brown belt, having traveled the world with the US Army I have encountered many teachers of the art. Professor Noa is top 5 out of over 150 black belts I have met and trained with. There is no other gym in this area I would personally want to train at or bring my kids to other then Legend. It was a great pleasure working with him to hone my own skills both in BJJ and off the mat in my life. Thank you Professor Noa and the team at Legend.

Yesterday was unfortunately my last day of training here at legend jiu jitsu as I am shipping out to the Airforce though for the 4-5 weeks i have been training here my experience was excellent. I had just gotten my first stripe under Profesor Noa and had learned alot from him and the other students who are very welcoming! Thankyou Professor Noa and Legend jiu jitsu for the great time ive had, I will be back again when im in town!

Professor Noa is an absolutely amazing instructor. I was visiting from California and stumbled across the Legend Jiu Jitsu Academy and was more than pleased! Professor Noa is highly knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, and overall outstanding instructor. The students were all respectful and a pleasure to roll with as well. If you’re looking to improve your ground game and get a good sweat in then you should not miss this academy.

I have trained internationally at numerous Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools. I would place Professor Noa Moke's instruction with the best instructors and schools that I have trained within. He fosters the Pacific Island warrior spirit into his students. His instruction and concepts are easy to understand, drill and apply for the beginner and competitor. Although the facility is newly renovated, the Professor brings decades of time tested Jiu Jitsu to our mats each day. His practitioners greet and welcome all new students and create a positive atmosphere amongst all ages and genders. In addition, his children's classes are also exceptional for bully proofing, creating confidence and developing junior leaders. His students include military, first responders and personnel who want to learn self defense and stay fit. I highly endorse this facility.

Great school! In all the places I’ve trained in the past 4 years this is the first place I decided to lay roots. This group has become family, the teaching is solid and the members are respectful and welcoming. I’ve learned more here in the past year than all my other training. Professor Noa is a great teacher with a great attitude

I started back up doing Jiu Jitsu after a 10 year break. I’ve loved the last six months I’ve been apart of Legend Jiu Jitsu. I’m glad I made the decision to start up and found the right place to learn. We’re a close knit family and welcome everyone new or old to the sport with open arms. Professor Noa is friendly and amazing at giving us one on one guidance when we do live rolling. He ensures that we practice with everyone and rotate so we learn a variety of different styles of opponents. I highly recommend Legend Jiu Jitsu and encourage you to come in for a free class.
