I’ve had the privilege of training with Professor Felipe, and I can confidently say he is one of the most experienced and dedicated martial artists I've encountered. As a black belt and professional MMA competitor, he embodies the true spirit of martial arts, upholding values that inspire respect and discipline. Professor Felipe is not only a remarkable instructor but also a family man who treats every student with the utmost respect. He sets high expectations for those willing to put in the work, and he genuinely invests his heart and soul into helping you achieve your goals, whether they lie in competition or personal fitness. If you’re considering starting your martial arts journey, I encourage you to take the leap and join his gym. With a focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, this is undoubtedly one of the best gyms in Houston. Don’t hesitate—jump on the train now and experience the transformation for yourself!
Dropped in while visiting, everyone was welcoming. If you’re looking to train BJJ or MMA in the area this is the place! Felipe is super knowledgeable and friendly! Great gym atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
Been here to roll twice as a recommendation from a friend and both times were without a doubt a great experience!! Felipe and his students were very nice and welcoming and also very skilled! Overall, good place to train with good vibes! If you're looking for a place in Houston to train, stop by Artistry and you won't be disappointed!
Got to drop in to Artistry BJJ this week while traveling for work. The owner was very gracious and welcoming. The class was phenomenal. The owner/ coach runs a really good program and gave us an opportunity to work several different situations. He was very insightful in how he instructed the students and gave great feedback. I really enjoyed the gym and will definitely be visiting again. If you’re in the area or looking for a gym to visit while traveling to the East Houston area, definitely reach out and plan a visit.
Awesome gym full of competitive individuals set on elevating each other's game. Felipe the instructor awesome down to earth teacher glad I joined!
A great place to perfect your BJJ. Everybody is extremely welcoming and is such a friendly environment!
Artistry BJJ has been an amazing experience. The environment is a very welcoming and friendly space to learn jiu jitsu I recommend this gym to anyone who thinks about training.
Dropped in for a Wednesday night class and had a great time. Everybody was incredibly welcoming, willing to roll hard, and safe all at the same time. Didn’t feel like anyone was “out to get me” for being a visitor. Well worth the trip from Jersey Village and I will be back for open mat as often as possible.
The best jiu-jitsu (brazilian) gym in the East Houston area, the owner/ instructor is passionate about the craft of bjj and various other forms of combat/MMA
I moved to Florida last year, and I say that sadly because I haven't been able to find any place like this one. Best BJJ club I've been to. Don't be shy if you've never learned any martial art before. They've got the best professor and a great atmosphere for someone trying to learn a new skill or someone trying to add to their techniques. New to it, or a Veteran, they've got something for you. They'll get you right.
My boyfriend goes here frequently and he absolutely loves it!

Felipe is one of the best and technically professors in the city. I don’t even train at this academy but have trained with Felipe multiple times. He cares about his product and his student’s. He’s building an Army on the East side of town!
Without a doubt the top bjj school in Houston. Felipe is a world class competitor in the sport, and an accomplished MMA fighter. But where he really shines is in his ability to convey complex concepts in very simple and easy to understand ways. I've trained at a lot of different academies in my life, and I've learned more in the last 7 months at Artistry than I have at any other in the past. The other students are great, extremely welcoming and have built a great community.
great atmosphere in the gym and great instructor, highly recommend.
