Amazing teacher! I’m brand new and his teaching is so clear and concise that not only do I understand but am able to perform the techniques while rolling. He also cares enough to watch and help you improve while you roll, whether your new or a brown belt. Very glad I’m attending

His teaching style is exceptional and clear. Moreover, the school's environment is a positive one where everyone is welcomed, supported, and helped along their journey. The best self defense school around! The professionalism and the knowledge of Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing is second to none. Don't hesitate stop by on open mat nights and I guarantee you'll love every aspect of your instruction. Fun for the kids and an awesome tool for self defense. Amazing exercise for the adults along with the ability to learn how to protect yourself and your family. They also have a program for the law enforcement community, to learn how to protect the public and the officers themselves from harm. I've been training under Professor Julio (for BJJ) for 2+ years now and he's an incredibly talented Martial Artist, a fantastic mentor, an awesome human being, and an excellent instructor. To have a gem and a resource like this for BJJ (and other Martial Arts) in the NYC-Metro area is an incredible opportunity that should not be passed up. Personally, I've been training in Martial Arts for 25+ years (on and off), and dealing with chronic illness, injury, etc., so the importance of a great instructor and a supportive learning environment are critical to the success of my journey, and I firmly believe that this holds true for any Martial Artist, regardless of their individual goals. I found out about this place on FB. It was advertising a 6 week work out. I thought it was going to be a gym setting with weights and all. It is a Martial Arts Academy. I have to say I was a Skeptical at first. Well, after I met professor Julio , everything about the place changed for me!! I was afraid I could not do this kind of work out because I had a reconstructive knee replacement. I had been in pain for over 10 years!! Let me tell you, since I have let my fears of pain leave. I actually Am not in ANY PAIN with the knee at all!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart prof. Julio and team ! In 10 days I am in Jeans I have not been wearing since 5 Years!! I was so nervous joining because I never went to the gym and thought I wouldn't be able to work out with everyone else. However, Professor Julio makes the classes so interesting and keeps you so motivated. I feel joining Anaconda and having an instructor like Julio was one of the best decisions I made. I look forward to each class and the students are so nice and helpful too. The atmosphere of the place is so welcoming. If you are considering to join Anaconda do not hesitate!

Awesome instruction and great atmosphere at Anaconda BJJ in Lyndhurst. Sensei Julio makes classes interesting and easy to learn so you can progressively get better from beginners to the advanced. I had a blast and plan on continuously attending. With his knowledge and experience there is no one better.
