Great place! I highly recommend signing up for the free class. We have 2 children ages 5 and 7 attending. My daughter (7 yr.) has been coming since she was 5, karate has empowered her confidence. Thanks to Master Tom, Sensei Jeff and Danny for teaching them life skills.
I highly recommend this place if you want to learn martial arts. I liked it very much they are kind with the kids.

I was a student at AAMA back when I was 10 and completed my black belt there when I was 17! I took about 4 years off to get started on my career after high school, but I definitely plan on coming back and continuing training in the future! I learned a lot of good things here and 10/10 recommend for anyone wanting to learn self defense.
A highly recommended martial arts school, owner, and training! My son learned excellent self-defense, confidence, respect, and discipline there in the 1990's. Wish they had a school in Elk Grove CA for my grandkids.
Taking classes here is among the best things I have ever done in my life. I've been taking classes on and off for about three years now. I signed up because my brother used to attend when I was a child. They taught things I couldn't find elsewhere(and I looked). When I discovered the teacher was the same teacher, I signed up with few reservations. I started classes with severe lung, back and flexibility problems, yet I was not turned away or ridiculed. I was allowed to grow and push myself to new limits. I experience a mobility, flexibility and ability to protect myself that I have never had in my life. I am surprised over and over at the results. It is a family environment with a focus on safety, self-defense over show-boating, and personal improvement. My experience there has indirectly saved my life more than once. As a side note: I'm hard pressed to get as good of a workout on my own, compared to in-class.
