Great place to train. The instructors friendly and the members are very welcoming. Additionally, the facilities are well kept—the mats are always clean and the locker room has showers and is also cleaned daily. I'm glad I chose Bruno's gym to begin my BJJ journey.

If you live in the Orlando area and train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, then consider yourself fortunate. Alliance, run by Bruno Malfacine, is one of the top academies in the US. Our kids have been training at a high level for almost 10 years and we've taken them around the country and even to Brazil for training at other academies. This is our favorite place to visit. You won't find a more skilled fighter than brings a lot of energy to his classes. The other senior coaches have a lot to offer. If you want a challenge or are looking to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the first time, I cannot recommend this place enough.

I have been to many jiujitsu academies and this is by far one of the nicest, cleanest facilities I've seen. The staff is always very welcoming, the students are all helpful and respectful, and it doesn't hurt that the head instructor (Bruno Malfacine) is one of the best grapplers in the world. And whether you're just starting out or have been practicing for many years, the academy offers classes for all levels. Visiting from a Lucas Lepri affiliate school Team Casarez located in Cary, NC. The young lady at the front desk was professional and very attentive. Friday night Fundamentals class was held with a brown belt Steven - he shared amazing details that even seasoned athletes can miss/forget. Advanced class was taught by Hall Of Fame IBJJF Athlete - Professor Malfacini. His attention to detail and level of instruction was what was to be expected coming from a 10x world champion. He was also welcoming and encouraging towards his students. He was prepping his young students for the Kids Pans held this weekend, so it was amazing seeing him tune them up before competing this weekend. I went to Alliance for a few months after needing to find a new gym. Steven did my free intro and was super patient, calm, and good at explaining the basics. The gym is super CLEAN, which is a big plus coming from some other different gyms. Plus, you actually have full air conditioning! The main instructor, Bruno, is also amazing. One thing I really appreciated as a woman is that he was cognizant of my size when I paired with others. I almost got paired with a person one time that was quite literally almost a foot taller than me, and Bruno spotted it and corrected the situation (with me internally thinking, 'oh thank god' haha) He's also kind, patient, and encouraging. You don't feel judged when you don't understand something right away, which is what you want in a learning space. The other students there are also always welcoming and joking around, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Lastly, I had some unfortunate health issues that were ongoing, still to this day. There was some confusion with everything going on as far as membership freezing, cancellations, etc. At some point, I was upset with a billing issue that had happened. I spoke with the gym, and they were very understanding and actually worked with me. I will appreciate this always, especially with medical bills in America being crazy high sometimes. If you need a new gym, look no further! My best of luck to you Bruno and Steven!!!

I had the distinct pleasure of taking a one-on-one, introductory class with Steven Deborba at Alliance. I am a novice at ju jitsu, but despite this, Steven was able to take me from simple drills to a real life scenario of self defense via ju jitsu in a single class. Though, even if the wonderful instruction wasn't enough, the immaculate facility alone is enough to warrant giving Alliance a try. Unfortunately, I plan to incorporate multiple martial arts into my journey; however, for ju jitsu alone, I highly recommend Alliance.

A stunning facility, world class professors, classes for all levels and a friendly training atmosphere for Jiu Jitsu practitioners at all stages of their martial arts journey. As a white belt still early in my training I didn’t want to miss two weeks of mat time while I traveled to Orlando for work. So on the recommendation of a friend I checked out Bruno Malfacine’s academy after touching down to Florida. Clear signage, lots of parking and a spacious lobby made locating and navigating to the gym extremely convenient. The front reception staff (a Jiu Jitsu purple belt) was not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, he provided excellent customer service regarding the best membership options. Ten time world champion Bruno Malfacine teaches fundamentals for white belts all the way through to advanced classes for champion black belts. His extremely comprehensive curriculum chains together moves each class and progresses every week of the curriculum guaranteeing you’ll learn a sequence that can immediately be applied both for self defense and competition settings. In addition to group lessons I took 1:1 sessions with both owner Bruno as well as his head of staff purple belt Steven. Both were phenomenal experiences. For those looking for a more economical option to drill down on the fundamentals I strongly recommend investing in a five pack or more of lessons with Steven. His mini master course of Jiu Jitsu fundamentals is a game changer for white belts. I had a wonderful experience at this gym and look forward to training there again on my next trip to the area.

Game Changer! My jiujitsu has greatly improved ever since I started training under the tutelage of Professor Bruno Malfacine more than a month ago. I am so honored to be receiving high level of instructions with attention to detail to the techniques from the 10x World Champion. I feel happy everytime I train in his world class facility which is kept ultra clean not to mention the comfortable deluxe sprung mats and bathroom area. What an incredible gym, we brought our son to train here for a few days from California. We have been to many gyms and many private training with different professors. Professor Bruno was an excellent teacher. The private training he gave our son was so impressive and with every penny ans even more. We visited Florida this past week and our son had the privilege of training with Professor Bruno long regarded as one of the best of all time. Our son has trained at a high level and with many professors privately and otherwise and sometimes although a professor is a great fighter it does not translate well to instructing. This is NOT the case here. If you want to roll at an amazing gym that is high tech, sparkling clean and disciplined, this is where you go! Try taking some private lessons too. It worth every penny!

Professor Malfacine makes it a point to give each member focused attention every class ensuring that you understand what is being taught. The academy is gorgeous, the most attractive and well built facility in Orlando, the locker rooms are what you would expect at a 5 star resort, complete with towel and laundry service. The academy is easily the nicest gym in Florida, possibly the entire east coast. I moved all the way across the country and I was very excited to have the opportunity to try different Martial Arts and gyms because I didn’t have any back home. I toured other gyms and took trial classes, but after my complimentary 1 on 1 class with Instructor Steven I knew that I was home. When you walk into Bruno Malfacine | Alliance Jiu Jitsu you feel like you’re walking into a World Class studio and not a fight gym because you are. The facility is absolutely immaculate with their 2” floors that are set on a custom subfloor and interior design that didn’t exclude any detail. If you’re looking for a BJJ gym that epitomizes both professionalism and a sense of community, Alliance Jiu Jitsu is the place for you. As a white belt with little experience in bjj, I was intimidated by the idea of trying out a new gym but the staff and members of Alliance Jiu Jitsu immediately made me feel welcome and a part of the team. Besides the unique experience created by the alliance staff, this has to be the best bjj facility I’ve ever been to. The gym is very well maintained and always spotlessly clean. Locker rooms are superb with shower stalls and other amenities which makes me sometimes feel like I’m entering into a spa rather than a gym. Best of all, Bruno is the GOAT 🐐. I cannot ask for a better teacher and instructor. If you want to be the best, you gotta train with the best.

Alliance Jiu Jitsu/Bruno Malfacine is the only place in the USA where you can come learn daily from a 10x World Champion. As great as Bruno is at Jiu Jitsu, he's an even better instructor. Bruno and his staff are so friendly that they will make you feel like part of a family from the moment you arrive. The academy offers an extensive schedule and the entire facility is air conditioned. The premium mats are laid on top of a cushioned subfloor, locker rooms with showers, and an optional towel service. There are other academies to choose from in Orlando. However, you have an opportunity to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from the "Michael Jordan" of the sport. Why would you go anywhere else? At Alliance Jiu Jitsu/Bruno Malfacine every day is a seminar.

Attention white belts and those beginning their bjj journey. You will NOT be able to spar here until you reach two stripe. Each stripe typically takes 8-10 months in bjj to gain and 2-4 years before next belt promotion. you will not be able to attend competition, advanced and any class besides all levels and you will have to sit out at the end of every class while everyone spars if youre a white belt. for drop ins. it’s 200 for a week, 350 for 2 weeks, 40 for a one day drop in and 400 for the month. All Im saying is. making a white belt wait for his/her second stripe depending on how long that is to even step foot on the mat and spar is kind of ridiculous. There are white belts from other schools competing and placing first at comps with 0 stripes. drilling can only help so much if a newbie doesnt know what it feels like to get submitted and submit others themselves. What good is it going to do for a bjj practicioner with lets say, 10 months of experience who weren’t allowed to spar and grapple because they havent reached two stripe? how do you gauge their conditioning? their physical fitness? how do you determine they’re ready to spar and hold up in bjj if they arent given the oppurtunity to learn? they wont learn anything if they can only drill and not pressure test their moves live. meanwhile wrestlers, Judokas, sambo players who are newbies are getting plenty of mat time and sparring in but students at this bjj school cant even spar yet because of stripes. I get the need to keep people safe but in my personal experience, it was the upper belts at all the gyms I attended that cranked on kimuras, chokes and heel hooked me as a white belt. I left injured some days not cus of white belts but because of seasoned bjj upper belts who felt the need to smash all their training partners. for visitors and any beginner starting their journey. do what you will with this info. This is all from word of mouth and respectfully I dont know how professor bruno runs his classes, maybe Im wrong, but as a visitor with over 13 months of BJJ and MMA experience. It didnt feel welcoming being hit with a $200 weekly bill and being told I would have to sit out and watch as if Im a day one spazzy white belt and be barred from attending 85% of the classes on that schedule. I wasn’t going to pay $40 either to see how classes there are. no disrespect to this gym. I just didnt feel welcomed and its unfortunate because I want to learn from Bruno and was excited coming down to Orlando.
