For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of training with Rodrigo. His extensive knowledge and passion for teaching BJJ makes him a highly sought out instructor from BJJ hobbyists with no prior grappling experience to professional MMA fighters. In addition to training adults, his kindness and patience make him an excellent instructor for kids and teens. The community he has built truly feels like family and is always welcoming of new members. If you have never trained before, I highly recommend taking your first class with Rodrigo.

First time at Akxe, it was awesome. I have zero martial arts experience, and learned a lot. I was definitely a bit nervous, but everyone was very kind and welcoming, feels like a big family. I’ll be here for a long time. Thank you for a great first day.

Amazing! everyone is very friendly and it seems very legit. they are teaching Jiujitsu in a very comprehendible manner, and most of the people there speak Portuguese with high knowledge of grappling techniques, they have Some pretty nice workout equipment like punching bags and a barbell set up, the bathrooms are also super clean, which is nice

Great training here. Rodrigo is invested and stays after to make sure everyone is pushing in their rounds. That alone is worth the price of admission. If you want to pay monthly dues for a belt and improve precious little there are plenty of other places you can attend locally. If you want to be pushed to your limits and get better come here.

After moving from California it had been over a decade since training with Rodrigo. I decided to drop in while on vacation and was welcomed with open arms. He went out of his way to ensure I had the best training everyday I was in town. If you’re in the area I can’t recommend training here enough. The vibes are very relaxed, the instruction is top level, and everyone is super chill and welcoming. Much respect to the Akxe team. Ossss.

The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is exceptional with kids. This place is just awesome. I’m brand new to jujitsu and I’ve been talking with my buddy for months about coming to this place to train. Rodrigo is great, no pressure at all but I knew this was not only somewhere I wanted to train because of the experience and knowledge present, but also I instantly felt at home which is not an easy thing to find. Totally recommend even if you’re trying jujitsu for the first time, come here first and you’ll want it to be your life.
