I’m a member here at Airlock after recently moving to Bastrop. I highly encourage everyone to come do a trial class and check out the wonderful space, knowledgeable coaches and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a new student or an upper belt you will have a good time! Bastrop fitness project is also a one stop shop and will have you covered on all fitness and wellness needs. Come check it out!
I had an amazing experience trying out these jiu-jitsu classes for the first time. It's so much fun and it is definitely a stress reliever for me. I took my daughter here for her to try it out and I ended up liking it my self. It's a great atmosphere and everyone there are very nice and professional. I really enjoyed my first week.
I'm a girl dad, so it's imperative I make sure my girls can defend themselves. I am so glad I found Airlock. Seriously these coaches not only know their stuff but they are better with the kids then I have seen from sports coaches and teachers alike. If you want to learn or your little ones, don't think twice.

Instructors are amazing, kind, patient, and very welcoming. You don’t need to have experience to try a class. Don’t be embarrassed or afraid, no one judges you. In fact they encourage you to keep on trying and help you to get better. If you are a woman and wants to try. They have an all women’s class on Fridays at 6:45pm which I definitely recommend, Andrea is the instructor. You will learn so much and feel right at home. ☺️
Can’t say enough about this gym and its instructors. Incredible atmosphere, welcoming, and accommodating to any person at any age. Whether you’ve had experience grappling or you’re brand new to the sport this is a great place for you!

The team and instructors at Airlock have been great! Truly welcoming, professional, and very accommodating to all skill levels. The studio is such a nice space, located within the newly constructed 'Bastrop Fitness Project' building. Definitely recommend checking it out!
The Airlock team has been great! Their facilities are beautiful and matts are very nice. The larger facility has locker-rooms with showers, helpful for lunch open matt. Coach Rei’s instruction flows really well and he uses his experience to make moves realistic and practical for both BJJ and self defense.
Tyler, Andrea, and Reinaldo were so welcoming to me. They showed me great techniques and made sure I always enjoyed the class. The atmosphere is super positive and encouraging! Please check them out if you are in Bastrop, TX!!!!!!!!
11 y/o sister came down from Dallas and joined the kids class! She loved it so much and can’t wait to go back!
What a great place to train! Mr Villa is such a passionate instructor and really takes the time to break down movements. One of the best experiences I’ve had on the mat in a long time.
Rei is a great instructor and every time I’ve met him I’ve felt comfortable asking questions. Also coming from a background in army combatives training, Rei knows how to teach sports or self defense.
