Both of my kids attend 7spears. We previously belonged to another jujitsu studio and it wasn’t a good fit. One sensei gave my son his white belt, only after a week or two of attending another rescinded the belt which was hard to explain to a kid. Here at 7spears the teachers are SO ATTENTIVE. I love their lesson planning and real life experience and how they always focus a monthly lesson for the kids to apply. They focus on an individual basis and really want the kids to learn and implement their skills. They practice their skills together and individually and it is a very nurturing and caring environment. The class sizes are good. We love the 7spears family!

We have been coming here for a few months and love it! Most importantly the kids enjoy it and it challenges them to be better and provides discipline they need. The facility is always clean and up-kept. The staff is friend and welcoming. Everyone is great! I can def see the progress the technique they learn… i love that they provide the flexibility to choose what day or how many days you want to come in which is great as a parent flexibility is super important. We come in 3 times a week. The business itself provides great communication to keep parents continuously informed of the week events etc. Def recommend. And def recommed ninja night! Something fun and entertaining the kids enjoy as well. Thanks seven spears!

I haven't had the opportunity to visit this academy yet, but what I can say is that I had the pleasure of meeting and rolling with Professor Munduruca in 2013 at Gracie Humaita San Diego when I was a purple belt. Of course he smashed me, but he was so nice about it and even gave me tips that have stuck with me to this day. In that brief interaction that he probably doesn't even remember, I could tell that he is a good teacher and person in addition to being amazing at Jiu Jitsu. If I still lived in Poway, I would definitely train here.

I wanted to let you know that my son is loving jujitsu; the instructors are amazing and run a very organized training session, the positive male influence benefits him greatly, this has been a very rewarding experience for my son so far and he always asks to go to class and what time we need to leave so he can be on time!

We absolutely love 7 Spears Jiu Jitsu. Both of my boys have been training there for more than a year now and they have gained so many skills and have learned to be disciplined and respectful while having fun. Professor Rodrigo and his team are very knowledgeable and are very good with the children. The gym is clean and the staff is responsive. I highly recommend 7 Spears Jiu Jitsu!!!

My kids previously attended Seven Spears BJJ and I have to say, we were thoroughly impressed by the level of care and attention the coaches gave to each and every student. My 7 and 8 year olds couldn't stop begging to come back to the academy after taking a personal leave. The coaches are patient, kind and knowledgeable, making the classes both fun and educational. The facility is clean, well-equipped and safe, providing a great environment for learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We highly recommend Seven Spears BJJ to anyone looking for a top-notch martial arts experience for their kids.

The instructors at 7 Spears are fantastic. Coach Rod and team take the time to get to know their students, encourage them and work on technique. I especially appreciate the way they encourage my son during difficult moments. I am confident these will be skills my son will carry into his adult life. In addition to this, the facility is EXTREMELY clean. Highly recommend!!!!

My son has been taking the tiny tigers jiujitsu class for 4 months here and he has gained so much positive things. Prof Rodrigo and his team have a knack to keep the kids engaged and learn valuable new skills. They are very knowledgeable, patient, and very clear when explaining moves. They provide ample time and safe space for the kids to practice. I especially like the coach-to-kids ratio, as they closely watch the kids and ensure they truly master the moves. Definitely recommend!

Excellent instructors, very clean gym, safe and fun environment for both kids and adults. Every morning my kid asks if there is a jiu jitsu class today, he cannot get enough of it. Professor Rodrigo is very knowledgeable and extremely patient.

7 Spears Jiu Jitsu is exactly what I've been looking for. Being an older (over 50) beginner, I had many concerns. However, Professor Rod and the rest of the 7 Spears BJJ staff have been amazing and have addressed ALL of my concerns. BJJ really can be for anyone at any age. I highly recommend 7 Spears BJJ.

I love the seven spears classes and instructors. The gym is clean and nice with a friendly atmosphere. Coach Rod is an excellent teacher from my kids ages all the way to the advanced adult classes. I can’t say enough on how much I love this place and the people in it.

Went for their free trial and never left! It was my first time ever trying a Jui Jitsu class and was very nervous. Professor Rodrigo, his assistant and the rest of the class were super welcoming and attentive. Professors way of teaching is world class, he breaks things down so that anyone can understand and apply them (even someone like me with zero experience). My son attends the tiny tigers class now and I am even more impressed with Professor Rodrigo’s availability to keep the kids engaged. He makes it fun yet teaches actual skills while instilling discipline. Overall phenomenal family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend

First off best bjj kids program in town. I have my 2 boys training here for 4 years now. Since they were 5 and 7 years old. If your looking for the most knowledgeable and legit teacher and coaching here it is. Adults classes are amazing also with a chill vibe and friendly atmosphere where we all help each other learn and grow. If your looking for a family friendly spot with a great supportive community give 7 Spears jiu-jitsu a try. You won't regret it!
