Great place to go. Very welcoming even though I was from another gym. Calm and focused in there!! Shout out to the coaches who lent me gear and insisted I train!!

Loved training at 662 Jiu-Jitsu! Coach Mike is top notch, and the Jiu-Jitsu is "good Jiu-Jitsu" as we say! Coach Mike has a deep knowledge of the art, and whatever your goals are -- competition, self-defense, a workout -- you'll find them met here. Coach Mike also does a fantastic job of ensuring a safe training environment for everyone who comes in the gym, taking steps to minimize the potential for injuries. In addition to high quality training, Coach Mike also knows a lot about nutrition and general fitness, things that are valuable to both Jiu-Jitsu and life in general. I would recommend 662 Jiu-Jitsu to anyone looking to train!

Training at 662 Jiu Jitsu has been one of the best experiences of my life. Coach Mike has built an outstanding environment that balances high-level instruction with a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. From day one, I felt like part of the team. The training is top notch—whether you're just getting started or have years of experience, you'll find yourself constantly learning and improving. Coach Mike's attention to detail and passion for the sport are clear in every class. He’s not just a great instructor—he’s built a culture of respect, hard work, and camaraderie. The training partners here are incredible. Everyone pushes each other to get better, and the level of technical knowledge and sportsmanship on the mats is second to none. If you're in the area and looking for a place to train, I can’t recommend 662 Jiu Jitsu enough. Whether you're in it for self-defense, fitness, competition, or just the love of the game—this is the place to be.

I was just in town for the 4th. I reached out and spoke with Coach Mike who graciously opened his doors for a drop in. It was an open mat with some “killers” who not only were extremely inviting to an outsider but willing to provide some great feedback. I would highly recommend stopping in and training. I’ll be back as soon as I come back in town!

This gym has a great culture. I have traveling from NJ to attend conferences at the nearby University for years, and every year I drop by 662 to train when I am in town. Mike is the head coach, he is a humble, friendly, and approachable teacher. As far as I am concerned a trip to Oxford, MS is not complete unless you train here. Additionally, if you are a competitor you will “enjoy” the amount of talented higher belts they have to roll with.

I was in town a couple of months for work and this place was recommended. Great recommendation! Great atmosphere for learning and training. Coach is knowledgable and pays attention to specifics when coaching. The team is both competetive and extremely helpful. Good club! I'm looking forward to coming back next time work sends me in this direction.

Take my six year old son Cal to the young class. Coach Mike and his team are awesome folks that work very hard and teaching this important discipline to a variety of skill levels. I thought we were getting outsized results but other parents I talk to that have their kids in class have similar sentiments. Great gym, very reasonable price, no "pay for belt tests". Highly recommend.

I've been to a couple of gyms so far, and I can't think of any gym that even compares to 662 Jiu Jitsu. The head instructor, Mike Laborde, is very professional, great with kids, and a proven expert in his profession. I like to see an instructor still competing, because it proves that he knows what still works and what does not. The community around 662 is top tier as everyone is welcoming and friendly. 662 has a broad range of skilled students, so it is perfect for anyone. Class sizes range throughout the year, but usually are not incredibly packed. This gym is very female friendly, which should be the standard across all BJJ gyms. Regardless of age, income, or gender everyone has an equal opportunity to learn and enhance their physical capability. The mat is of superior quality. 662 values hygiene and the mat is regularly cleaned throughout the day. The membership is very affordable and there is no hard dress code ( like mandatory uniform WHITE gi on Mondays and Wednesdays- which is a thing at other gyms). A clean serviceable gi and rashguard is acceptable. The environment is very chill and easy to learn in. Parking is not a problem, and the gym is easily accessible. Overall, 662 Jiu Jitsu is the GOLD STANDARD in BJJ training. I recommend anyone thinking about training here to take the first brave step and try it out. Don't get discouraged the first day, week, or month. It is truly rewarding once you realize how much you have gained.

Me and my two sons moved here in February have been training here since March and we love this gym and the people that train there. Mike is a phenomenal instructor and coach. My oldest son trains and loves the kids class. I train 7 days a week. Not only is mike a great teacher of jiujitsu he is a great coach in competition. I have competed twice while being here and both times was very comfortable with him in my corner. Also having the guys that are from your gym in your corner is a great experience. If you want to push yourself, become better at jiujitsu, compete, or just learn something valuable you can not beat 662 jiujitsu.

Michael LabBorde is a knowledgeable, passionate, fun & creative teacher. 662 Jiu-Jitsu offers a variety of classes and class times that meet everyone’s wants and needs. The women’s only class is incredibly empowering & liberating. The kids classes are by far the best thing you could ever give your child. The kids gain knowledge, confidence and skills they will use for the rest of their lives. The co-ed classes are like one big happy family. Growing together, encouraging each other and of course unlimited hugs. When you join 662 Jiu-Jitsu you’re joining a family!

Mike and Josh are both excellent guys and very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching and training. I have been to several classes myself and have enjoyed them all. My son started a few months ago and immediately bonded with Coach Mike and both of them are great for working with the children teaching not only jui jitsu but more importantly self discipline and confidence while challenging them to both mentally and physically as well as always keeping up with them academically in school.

Guys this gym is amazing. When I was passing through oxford Mike let me come in the gym a few times and I absolutely loved it. I have had combatives training throughout my time I’m the military and in the special operations community and gone to many BJJ gyms. The brief experience I had with this gym was outstanding from the customer support all the way through the technical application of jiu jitsu. I highly recommend checking them out!!

Mike is a scammer and con artist. He tried to charge my account without my permission when I actually was supposed to have another month on my contract and without contacting me. Also a friend of mine said he tried to charge him during the coronavirus lockdown when they were not open for one single day that month. Finally, the same friend told me that Mike was talking negatively about me to him when he first joined the gym. I don’t know why Mike thought my friend wouldn’t tell me about the negative things he was saying about me. I guess he’s just not that smart of a guy.
