Love this gym. I've lived in SF, NY and now Boston for 10 years, and have trained at many places. This is, by far, my favorite mix of training hard, warm community and family friendly. There's a training partners for every level here.

This is the finest BJJ gym you can find in this area. I say this both as an adult and as a parent. Classes are offered and multiple skill levels and times during the week. The cohort is friendly but competitive. The professors, specifically Gabriel and Enzo are true gems. They care about you as people, they’re fierce competitors, and patient teachers. Oos!

I highly recommend 617 BJJ gym! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with a family-like environment. The instruction is top-notch, and it's a fantastic opportunity to learn from such talented and accomplished teachers who have won multiple awards in BJJ world tournaments . Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this gym offers an outstanding training experience.

I have been training for a year and a half and try to visit gyms when I travel. This is by far the best jiu jitsu gyms I’ve been to. The coaching is organized, the coaches are advanced and extremely helpful, the classes are prompt and organized, and the gym is spotless. The coaches sanitize the mats after every class along with sweeping and vacuuming. The members are all great people also, this place breeds a respectful atmosphere.

I've been to many gyms across US because of work (California, Ohio, Texas, Mass, you name it) and I can say without doubt 617 is one of the best out there. The culture here is ego-free with people genuinely willing to help you improve your bjj. Reasons why you should check out this gym: 1. Instructors (led by Hugo) are very attentive to your questions and techniques. They are always willing to help and grow your bjj. (not like some gyms that want newcomers to 'earn their stripes' before helping you improve) 2. Fantastic in both gi/no-gi; good balance of classes 3. Training intensity is up to you. Whether you are a hobbyist or competitor you can go at your own pace. 4. Very professional; gym policy is clear and Hugo is very understanding. Clear schedules and clear pricing. I was injured for few months and they were very accommodating/flexible. 5. They have active, high-level competitors. Different competitors also drop-by from time to time. 6. Gym is clean, they always clean right after each class.
