A gym I go to was closed cause of illness so I decided to drop in. I also am just getting back into bjj after a long hiatus. Went to the 12:30 pm class and it was awesome. Great group Guys and Gals and The owner is a down to earth friendly guy. I am hoping to make it back for more rolls soon.

I travel from Ontario to Calgary at least a couple times each year. I have had the pleasure to train at 101 on several occasions over the years. This is a must visit to continue your BJJ training. Everyone at the club is welcoming, and look after their partners. CJ is next level and and explain the positions very well. He also has great insights on how to transition from any position while maintaining control and pressure. I have traveled to many clubs abroad, and Acadamy 101 is definitely one of my favorites.

Love this gym and everyone in it! If you want to learn in a supportive environment this is the place! The professors and coaches are held to a high standard and teach in a way that conveys techniques with all the details required to make them effective and push you to be constantly improving and adapting your jiu jitsu! 101 is an amazing place to learn and grow with like minded people who want to support each other to become better everyday! They also have potlucks twice a year, so come join a team who loves to learn, grow and share good food together!

I’ve been training at 101 academy for a while now, and it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. The professors here are incredibly skilled, patient, and passionate. They take the time to break down techniques in a way that’s easy to understand. The sense of community at 101 is what really makes this place special. Everyone is so supportive and welcoming, and there's a real team spirit that pushes you to improve while also having fun. The gym itself is always clean, and the mats are well-maintained, which makes it a comfortable environment to train in. They also offer a range of class times, so it’s easy to fit into a busy schedule. I can’t recommend 101 enough!

Love, Love, Love Academy 101! I’ve only had amazing experiences here. Met a few members and instructors in Edmonton at various jiu-jitsu events and competitions. Came to my first open mat there last Saturday. Got to roll with CJ the owner and he was so awesome and kind. All my rolls were amazing, people are very chill. Great vibes, going back today. Highly recommend!
