I’ve been going to One Hit MMA for the past four years now. I’ve been paying for one on one training with the owner Aldo. Aldo is a black belt in a couple martial arts, and has taught Many great local and national fighters. It has been an absolute pleasure starting my day off with him and this form of training. If you struggle with depression and or find yourself in a funk, take my advice and come to One Hit MMA, learn how to throw a proper punch and kick, and unleash your stress by punching and kicking bags and mit work with the master. It’s one thing to learn from a fighter, but most fighters understand how to brawl, but lack the understanding of what it means to be a ‘Coach’. A coach is someone that sees you for more then money, they see your potential and inspire you daily to towards this potential.

My son started with Aldo a few months back. Aldo has been amazing with him, teaching him from no real experience. He is the perfect mix of teaching techniques and teaching him to be physically tough and mentally strong. There are amazing fighters who train there and they have been very instrumental in helping my son’s progression. Very grateful to Aldo and the gym!

This gym is the best! Aldo provides a great place to train at where students of all skill levels and backgrounds can come learn and grow their skills. His passion and knowledge of martial arts is extremely infectious and it really motivates his students to push themselves to become the very best they can. Whether one wants to learn gi BJJ, Muay Thai/Kickboxing, No gi grappling or tie them altogether in MMA, One Hit provides world class instruction to help one achieve their goals. There's a reason why the athletes here perform so well in competition. One of my favorite things is Aldo's karate background, it adds extra flair to his classes where you get to learn techniques not typically covered in kickboxing classes but are very effective in both sport and self defense. Another thing I love about this place is the other coaches and training partners, everyone is super friendly and easy to get along with - I've met many great friends here! I highly recommend One Hit for anyone interested in martial arts.

Headed into my third week of training with One Hit MMA. I think this is a good time to share some reflections. For context, I'm 37 years old. Aldo, the other coaches, and every fighter I've met have all been incredibly friendly, helpful, and acutely aware of the skill levels of the students around them. Training is tailored accordingly. The gym is clean, well stocked with equipment, and has an awesome vibe. The morning classes are smaller and probably better for beginners or for those who do this recreationally instead of with the intent to fight, but some advanced fighters always show up to the morning classes too. The night classes are full of legit fighters with a lot of experience, many who fight in the championships in the cage. While there is an awareness of different skill levels, nobody in the adult class is treated like a child. If you're in the adult class, you're expected to show up on time, pay attention, put in effort, and act like an adult or switch to the kids class. As for kids... I enrolled my 6-year-old. She trains kickboxing with Aldo and Jiu Jitsu with Gustavo and she absolutely loves it. The coaches are very kid friendly and super patient. I'm really grateful for that. It motivates the kids. My daughter constantly asks if it's time for class yet. Some things for beginners to expect if you train with One Hit MMA... 1) You will learn new techniques each class. 2) You will practice previously learned techniques. 3) You will have opportunities to apply those techniques. 4) You will spar with people better than you. 5) You will get punched in the face and kicked in the gut. 6) You will roll with people better than you in Jiu-Jitsu. 7) You will get tapped out. 8) You will sweat, and you will be sore. 9) You will wonder how much your body can take. 10) And you will be proud of yourself for what you achieve, the confidence you build, the skills you learn, the abilities you gain, the friends you make, and for the overall changes that start to take place in your life from your very first lesson onward. In just 3 short weeks, One Hit MMA is my new favorite place to be, so I try to be there as much as possible, and I look forward to where my training will take me over the coming year. If you're on the fence about joining, just show up. Talk to Aldo (or anyone in the gym for that matter). Ask questions. Take a class. Once you experience it in person, you'll know why it's the right place to be whether you want to train kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, or become a legit MMA fighter.
