One of the most poorly managed airports is located in Africa, specifically the international airport in the capital of Nigeria. The facilities are inadequate and need significant improvement. It is strongly advised to travel with the guidance of a proper travel agent, as navigating the airport alone can be challenging and unsafe. Some individuals may attempt to exploit or extort you. Travel agents can sometimes accompany passengers even beyond the immigration point, as they are believed to have connections with immigration officers. Unfortunately, the immigration process is often frustratingly slow. For instance, during my visit, all the immigration officers went on a tea break at the same time, causing all passengers to wait until their break was over. Be cautious of individuals who may ask for money or attempt to rob you. It is safer to have an agent escort you through the process to avoid such incidents.

The whole direction of both the local and international airport is just confusing It doesn't help that the ventilation and cooling system of the terminal 1 is not working well so I was sweating all the way. But this is still the most prestigious airport in Nigeria so pretty mid. Small advice, use Google maps to get to where you need to be, if not, you'll keep going around in circles

Compare to some years back Muritala Muhammed International airport Lagos is vastly improved. The new check-in areas, immigration checks , security checks are better than what you have a couple of years ago. However, there are still areas for improvements, some of the A/Cs in the boarding area were not working , the last time l boarded a plane there.

The airport is really beautiful and clean. However, the waiting area for domestic flights was quite hot I’m not sure if that was due to the large number of people or an issue with the AC. The staff were nice, but it was disappointing to see the cleaning lady begging, which, unfortunately, is common among employees in Nigeria.

Having flown through lots of airports, this airport is really an advanced one. Most facilities work perfectly well, great atmosphere, been through here twice in the last few months and it’s a great experience. Keep it up MMIA, God Bless Nigeria.
