Ibis is fancy, but what stuck with me was the staff. Like, I spilled my coffee (classic me), and three people swooped in, not with that 'ugh, another tourist' face, but genuinely wanting to help. Felt less like a hotel, more like being looked after by really nice, very well-dressed aunties and uncles.
Posted 2 weeks agoVery good rooms and facilities. But the only negative we felt was, when we ordered an omelet and a tea, after half an hour the same person came to us and asked, Do you really need it? We cancelled the order and left. They were worried about money i think. This hotel will give a complimentary swimming pool option, and breakfast. Buffet only available.
Posted 2 months agoGood for this location. Rooms are clean Receptionist could be more welcome. Food in restaurant need to wait mire than hour At least they have hot water
Posted a month agoThe singular worst experience I have had at an hotel in any country An extremely rude and condescending woman at the desk Claire refused to reprogram my key card to access the lift because I had not yet paid for late checkout i explained to her that we were busy and i would pay when we checked out in the evening she stared at me blankly and i had to ask one of the porters to scan the his key card on the lift so I could go to my floor and have my wife open the door ro the room. We had 2 members of staff knock on our door and harass us for payment in the next couple of hours as we packed our bags and entertained visitors ready to leave the country. After being embarassed in front of a visiting family member I went down and payed. The lady at the desk still had the nerve to ask me to wait so she could confirm payment again as we left the hotel. I should mention the men at the gate, the porter and the lady at the metal detector in the entrance were very pleasant and helpful, however the attitude and behaviour of the women at reception was abhorrent and absolutely unacceptable and management should do something about it
Posted 3 weeks agoI stayed at the Ibis during November 2024. This Ibis is definitely not up to to the same standards of Ibis in Europe. The security guard asked if I had anything for him when I went out alone to the mall. The obviously wanted me to give him money which I didn't. The restaurant service was awful. I asked the lady at the restaurant for a pizza. She explained it would take 40 mins for the pizza. The pizza eventually arrived in 1hr. She was so miserable and didn't smile at all. The pizza was terrible. International cards work using the blue terminal that has USD notes on the top. Breakfast was acceptable. Nothing special at all. The room was clean and tidy but needs updating. Laundry service was really good. The guy from laundry was very friendly and my clothes had been washed and ironed to a very high standard.
