Have been training Brazilian Ju-jitsu at Hikari Glo Damansara and Ampang for almost a year now. Its been an amazing experience and everyone's very supportive. Big shout out to Prof Bruno, Coach Cassandra, Prof JC and Coach Ezekiel for being a big part of my starting journey. And more so, for enabling such a great supportive culture that I experience from everyone at Hikari. Everyone's very helpful, extremely humble and always willing to help.
Posted a week ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited the Hikari in GLO Damansara KL and couldn’t be happier! The affordable parking is a plus(1rm for 2 hours), making it easy to attend classes regularly. The mats are top-notch—clean, soft, no burn, well-maintained, and perfect for training. Bruno Barbosa, the head of the gym, brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. His teaching style is both engaging and effective, making each class a valuable learning experience. The welcoming atmosphere and supportive community he fosters make this gym a fantastic place for both beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Highly recommend Hikari BJJ for anyone looking to train in Kuala Lumpur!
Posted 2 weeks agoCant wait to experience the new branch! Hikari is place that shapes your character, attitude & values not just as an athlete but as a human being! Coaches are just filled with Passion, patience & love that coaches you in such a Fatherly way ! ❤️ Best gym in Malaysia period!
Posted 2 weeks agoGreat gym! Excellent coaches, competitive yet friendly members, good location and facilities. Visited the branch in Ampang from 27 Jan to 2 Feb. People were willing to teach, each coach has their own merits and unique style of teaching. Good for people who want to progress in their grappling journey. Will be back for more. Oss 🤙
Posted a month agoAs someone with 0 background in any form of martial arts, I made a decision in the middle of 2023 to take the plunge into the world of BJJ. It’s now 6 months into my journey but I’ve not looked back since. Professor Bruno and Coach Cass are inspirational coaches that brings you to push yourself to your limits and more. Not to mention that everyone who trains here are also great to be around. There’s a good mix of higher belts and beginners but I’ve never been made to feel out of place or unwelcome. In short, I definitely recommend Hikari to anyone who wants to try out Martial Arts. In addition to BJJ, they also have Muay Thai and Boxing classes.
