  Coming from Australia I was on a short visit to Johannesburg and needed a place to train. I Highly recommend this place for jiu Jitsu training. The staff and students are top notch, very welcoming and a friendly bunch which made me feel so much at home. Definitely be coming back here and I can’t stress out the fact how clean and nice the training facilities are. Thank you GB Sandton students and Professor Storm! 🤙🤙

  Jiu Jitsu is extremely difficult to learn due to the complexity of the moves. That is why the majority of beginners quit within a few months. The only way to overcome this frustration is by training where there is a warm, friendly evironment where you can actually feel the organization cares about you- this is where GB Sandton makes all the difference. The 2 Black belt instructors are honestly caring and endlessly patient, constantly watching and helping. Classes start precisely on time and follow a predictable format. There is free, professional security (guarded, lic scan etc) basement parking- lots of people movement as Gold's Gym is 1 floor below. Very reasonable pricing with no contract fine print or binding clauses. This has been my experience as a 60yr old beginner- can't fault anything.

  Gracie Barra Sandton has the best kids program in Gauteng. They are able to keep my children on the mats, engaged, and enjoying the lesson. The level of coaching is exceptional, and I can see how my kids have progressed in a short period of time. I have also enjoyed some evening classes myself, and Storm is an excellent professor. Highly recommend!

  My son joined beginning of the year 2023, after a google search of "karate studio near me" which lead me to Gracie Barra Sandton, i reached out and the rest is history . The team was quick to respond , we went for a try out , we both fell in love with the staff , the studio , the professionalism & we got a very warm welcome from the kids to the staff to the parents. We were hooked instantly and signed up for the entire year . Gracie Barra Sandton not only teaches jiu-jitsu but also brotherhood , discipline , passion and most importantly fun whilst learning, it is by far my kid's favourite extra mural activity . Well done team!!!
